### **COST ACCOUNTANT**

This is your chance to be at the forefront of leading the charge to make Jushi the standard in multi-state cannabis operations. We are seeking a Cost Accountant who will focus on cost accounting and inventory management. The Cost Accountant will maintain accurate inventory using several different processes and determining the cause of any inaccuracies. These processes include cycle counting, report running, and maintaining a high level of communication among various departments. The Cost Accountant will maintain the accuracy and integrity of inventory which is a vital component to ensure continued operations and avoids product or inventory shortages. **(Must Report in office located in Boca Raton, Florida during scheduled shift.)**

### **THE TEAM:**

We identify, evaluate, and acquire U.S.-based cannabis operations within each state to vertically integrate, produce, and distribute medical-grade cannabis formulations in the United States offering patients and customers premium, high-grade cannabis and related products.

### **WHAT YOU WILL DO:**

- Manage the costing and develop a bill of materials of manufactured products

- Manage input costs related to cultivation and manufactured products

- Reconcile inventory on a weekly and monthly basis from sub-ledger to GL

- Streamline inventory procedures and create consistent reports

- Manage production/harvest cycles and measure results and compare to budget

- Manage cultivation forecast monthly and develop consolidated corporate cultivation forecast

- Measure manufacturing yields and potency results of in-process oil and finished goods

- Communicate with purchasing on material requirements

- Analyze cost absorption and performing variance analysis

- Responsible for periodic inventory counts and developing controls around counting procedures

- Provide recommendations to management on improving yields, reducing costs, and increasing efficiencies

- Monitor net realizable value of inventory

- Managing and reconciling inter-company inventory transactions

### **WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:**

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required

- CPA or CMA Preferred

- Advance in QuickBooks, Excel, Word, office products required

- 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management

- Must have experience using multiple accounting software

- Must have the ability to manage and analyze large data sets

- Excellent oral, planning, organizational, and time management skills

- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

- Strong work ethic and self-starter

This person must be able to work efficiently and easily adapt to changing priorities.</p> <p><b> CORE JOB DUTIES</b></p> <p> Vault:</p> <ul> <li>Accurately count, organize, and band all cash received</li> <li>Scan and save all cash and checks received, with supporting documents, for timely posting by the AR team</li> <li>Scan and file (electronic and paper) invoices and manifests efficiently and accurately for ease of retrieval and compliance with State regulations</li> <li>Daily, weekly, monthly - Update and reconcile cash log and ensure vault balancing</li> <li>Provide support as needed to account for monthly cash balances</li> <li>Provide any documentation required to validate cash balances or support audit requests</li> <li>Prepare cash for timely deposit or transfer to a financial institution</li> <li>Communicate with the Sales and Operations teams as needed to resolve issues</li> <li>Ensure cash on hand is accurate, controlled and properly disbursed when appropriate</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p>Credit Queue:</p> <ul> <li>Review the Credit que for orders that have been placed on hold.</li> <li>Identify the cause of the hold and take steps necessary to resolve any issues.</li> <li>Evaluate credit application requests.</li> <li>Accurately post payments and adjustments to customer accounts.</li> <li>Ensure customer statements, invoices or demand notices are sent to customers.</li> <li>Perform customer account reconciliation or clean up to ensure accuracy.</li> <li>Schedule customer payment pickups.</li> <li>Create reporting / perform analysis as needed to assist with Collections.</li> <li>Communicate customer status and issues with Sales each week.</li> <li>Work closely with Treasury and Accounting to communicate cash activity and issues.</li> <li>Work closely with A/R team; providing information and status of customer activity and accounts.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p>Collections:</p> <ul> <li>Contacting customers with past due balances by email or phone.</li> <li>Working with internal Sales team when needed.</li> <li>Update notes daily on the collection spreadsheet and save to shared drive.</li> <li>Recommend customer accounts for 10 Day Demand Letter or Bad Debt write-off.</li> </ul> <p>Cash Application:</p> <ul> <li>Customer checks; scan or mail to bank.</li> <li>Properly apply payments to the invoices on the customer remittance.</li> <li>Work with Accounting team on unapplied cash and NSF/Rejected checks.</li> </ul> <p><b>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS</b></p> <ul> <li>Associate or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business or AR experience (more than 1 years preferably)</li> <li>Experience with financial accounting and ERP systems required (QuickBooks, SAP and/or Sage Intacct preferred)</li> <li>Proficient in MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables) and MS Office</li> <li>Must possess strong organizational skills and be highly detail oriented</li> <li>Must be able to take initiative</li> <li>Strong problem solver</li> <li>Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills required</li> </ul> <p><b>COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS</b></p> <p> Cresco Labs requires that all corporate employees be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus on or before September 30, 2021.
