As a key member of the team, the Cultivation Technician is responsible for the care of cuttings, vegetative and flowering plants, and mother plants. This includes propagation, cultivation, and transplant of plants. The Cultivation Technician will also be responsible for performing data entry and completing records related to the cultivation of plants.

The Cultivation Technician must be able to:

  • Perform all duties according to SOP (Standard Operating Procedures), Work instructions, GMP, and all other establishes safety standards and company policy
  • Comply with all relevant legislation surrounding cannabis production under the Cannabis Act
  • Adhere to all occupational health and safety regulations
  • Work in hot, wet, dry environments while wearing the appropriate PPE (clothing covers, gloves, masks, respirator, eye protection, etc.)
  • Work independently
  • Perform physical activities for the duration of their shift
  • Take initiative - Utilize a continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Understanding and applying plant propagation and cultivation principles and practices
  • Monitoring, assessing, recording, and acting according to individual crop needs
  • Transplanting plants throughout the growth and production process
  • Detecting, reporting, and controlling any plant health concerns or pest issues
  • Adhering to growing schedules and reporting deviations from established procedures to supervisor
  • Cleaning and sanitizing work area as required
  • Defoliation and watering as required
  • Performing data entry and completing records
  • Other duties as assigned

Exceptional Candidates will have:
