Summary:

We are actively looking for a highly dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead a staff of 70 employees and oversee our federally licensed cannabis production facility located in St. Thomas, Ontario.

The General Manager will be accountable for overseeing all phases of the cannabis cultivation and processing operations.

Responsibilities:

- Production, processing, and packaging assembly lines including quality assurance, regulatory compliance, security, people management, and overall administration.

- Demonstrating the ability to provide leadership for multiple departments. Ability to manage a diverse range of projects from tactical to strategic. Experience in managing large scale cannabis or agriculture operations preferred.

- Responsible for implementing sustainable business processes for efficient operations and create production forecasts and operational budgets in line with established KPI targets

- Ensure the production facility is always compliant with cannabis regulations and maintain a healthy pipeline of production candidates with ability to attract, develop, and manage a high-performance team.

- Oversee all automation infrastructure and assembly line equipment ensuring maintenance schedules are in place, and redundancy of equipment is in place to mitigating production downtime. Responsible in supporting expansion of existing facilities and the potential addition of new facilities.

Education/Experience:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a managerial role in fast-paced food, cannabis, or similar industry (consumer packaged goods preferred)

- Clear passion for and solid understanding of cannabis and cannabis-based products with previous experience working in a cannabis facility or highly regulated environment

- Exceptional People Management skills and proven ability to mentor and lead a team of 70 employees

- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced highly regulated environment and demonstrate the ability to adapt to business demands and exceed production KPI targets

- Must have proficiency using MS Office Suite and ability to leverage SaaS tools supporting the operational functions including but not limited to the production schedule

- Must be able to submit a cleared criminal background check (RPIC status not required but an asset)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
