• Job Title: Dry Room Supervisor
• Department: Cultivation -Post Harvest
• Reports to: Dry Room Manager
• FLSA Status: Regular- Non-Exempt
• Location: Monticello, FL
• The Dry Room Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Dry Rooms including intake, drying, curing, and trimming within a medical cannabis facility.
• This role ensures the daily functions of the department are being performed correctly and efficiently to ensure accuracy and quality throughout the process.
• Supervisor/oversee all employees and staff within the dry rooms department while creating synergy with members of other departments
• Maintain compliance using a centralized tracking system
• Ensure all product is accounted for according to company policy and procedures
• Keep an accurate inventory of dried cannabis as it pertains to what is actively drying in addition to what is stored in the dry vault(s)
• Prioritize and manage dry rooms based on harvest dates to ensure flow of fresh product while minimizing old inventory
• Adapt processes to various strains, styles, and types of cannabis while making quality control decisions and adjustments as necessary
• Possess the ability to be flexible and work in various sectors of the production department as needed
• Other duties as assigned
• 1+ years’ experience processing cannabis in regulated facility highly preferred
• 2+ years of Leadership experience highly preferred
• Strong knowledge and understanding of cannabis handling including drying and bucking
• Knowledge and understanding of local and state regulations with an emphasis on continual learning and sharing of knowledge with the team
• Possesses the skills and knowledge to identify potential problems with a plant or the product being processed
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent computer skills, managing a centralized cannabis tracking system
• Strong Inventory control skills
• Strong time management skills, driving efficiency and productivity to ensure goals are meet consistently and high-quality control
• Must be able to remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Must have valid Florida Driver’s License or ability to obtain one
• Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening
• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
• Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
• Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
• Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details.
• Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
• Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc.
• 45+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on business needs.
• Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends and holidays.
