Trovaro is a cannabis-focused staffing & recruiting firm working with a variety of clients across the U.S. and Canada. This role is with a vertically integrated client based in Michigan. They're open to assisting with relocation for out-of-state candidates!

• **CANNABIS INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

Job Description/Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Product Manager and collaborating with the supply chain, marketing, and retail operations team to create best in class product.

• Accountable for all aspects of product lifecycle management in assigned product categories, including design and development requirements, forecasting, packaging, third party testing and consumer feedback

• Conduct quantifiable research to identify customer needs and market gaps

• Manage and grow existing the product line by creating plans to increase sales of existing categories, reduce & eliminate product quality issues, and identify cost reduction/value improvement opportunities

• Consistently analyze product margin and profitability

• Actively communicate status of projects to all project stakeholders, which include the cross-functional team

• Perform market analysis on products, pricing, and competition

• Assist with the development of product promotions to drive sales

• Provide implementation support to retail locations for all promotional activities

Requirements

• Experience with Cannabis industry

• Experience with Product Development and/or category management

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing or a related field

• Excellent communication skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, decentralized environment

• A self-starter who is proactive, takes initiative and can step in and start adding value right away

• Ability to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously

In 1, 3, and 6 months employee will:

In 1 month, employee will:

• Build relationships with your team and cross-functionally.

• Develop a deep understanding of our brand, products, customers and strategy

• Understand our product development process and provide improvement guidance

In 3 months, employee will:

• Own the product development process for 1-2 products

• Support and transition ownership of PD process for 1-2 additional products

• Be a trusted member of the PM team and relied upon by teammates as a highly accountable and trust-worthy teammate

In 6 months, employee will:

• Have meaningfully contributed to the successful, on time, within margin goal delivery of multiple products

• Become an expert and advocate for an improved product development process

• Have navigated some challenges, but have also demonstrated the ability to define the critical path despite setbacks
