JOB SUMMARY:

The Associate Communications Manager is responsible for coordinating marketing initiatives across Tilray Wellness, with the goal of maximizing the consumer’s awareness of and affinity for the brands within the portfolio. Reporting to the Brand Manager, this role will initially be responsible for supporting the Manitoba Harvest Brand, but will quickly expand to contribute to marketing for all US based CBD introductions within Tilray Wellness.
The successful candidate will leverage their knowledge of communications across PR, Social/Digital, Experiential, and Emerging Media. They will be able to blend the art and science of marketing to create high impact campaigns that are deeply rooted in brand strategy and analytics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Campaign Development: Identify creative ways to articulate brand positioning to relevant audiences to drive both awareness and sales
  • Public Relations: Collaborate with agency partners to develop an effective PR strategy that keeps Tilray Wellness brands in relevant publications
  • Spokespeople/Influencers: Identify high-value spokespeople and influencers that can be utilized across a variety of channels, including earned media, social media, events and partnerships
  • Collaborate closely with sales leadership on shopper marketing activations with top retail customers
  • Measurement and Reporting: Set monthly objectives with clear KPIs and optimize tactics to continually improve performance
  • Opportunistic Marketing: Constantly monitor the cultural and competitive landscape to identify opportunities to insert Tilray Wellness brands into existing conversations
  • Thought Leadership: Serve as an internal marketing thought leader; helping to identify marketing trends, new technologies, and evolving best practices
  • Responsible to preserve and safeguard all confidential information that comes to their knowledge in the course of employment with Company
  • Responsible to observe and comply with the policies of the Company and applicable legal requirements with respect to confidential information and the protection of privacy
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Communications or similar role
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking skills – ability to analyze inputs, opportunities, and outline a path forward
  • Experience using digital tools like IRI, Nielson, Google Analytics, Sprout Social, AspireIQ
  • Comfort with ambiguity and change in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to inspire and lead cross functionally with internal and external teams
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written skills – comfort with presenting to senior leadership
  • Comfortable working remotely and in the cannabis industry
  • Some travel may be required
