Siren Cannabis Cultivation Technician Job Description

Position: Cannabis Cultivation Technician

Reports to: Cultivation Manager

Status: full time (40 hours/week)

Pay: $18/hour

Sick Pay: 1 hour for every 30 hours works, up to 40 hours in a calendar year

Siren is a family-owned cannabis production facility. We are committed to providing quality craft cannabis to the Oregon recreational market. Owners Matt and Meghan Walstatter have been working to liberate cannabis for more than two decades. As leaders in the effort to uplift the Oregon cannabis industry with authentic and inclusive business practices, fair and reasonable legalization laws, and conscientious cultivation and use, their advocacy is broad and far-reaching.

As a Siren Cultivation Technician, your primary responsibilities are to help maintain the facility, equipment and supplies; to facilitate the optimum growth, quality, appearance and health of plants; and to assure the smooth operation of the cultivation facility. This will be accomplished by following the directions of the cultivation manager. Communication skills, organization, attention to safety and detail, and exceptional time management skills are critical to the success of the organization.


· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Must be 21 years or older

· Valid Marijuana Workers Permit

· Valid Driver’s License

· Pesticide License a plus

· At least 1 year of experience trimming cannabis

· At least 1 year of experience in cannabis cultivation, or at least 2 years of experience in other horticultural settings and/or other cannabis settings

· Ability to stand, climb, squat, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods of time

· Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 75lbs (200 pounds with assistance)

· Willingness to work flexible and long hours during peak season with weekends required

· Team oriented

· Must have reliable transportation and good attendance


· Cleaning, organizing and other facility maintenance

· Assists with various aspects of growing including: taking clones, potting, transplanting, watering, mixing, spraying, cleaning, maintenance, deleafing, trellising, harvesting and any other tasks assigned by the cultivation manager

· Plant maintenance

· Treating pest issues related issues using IPM practices

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment

· Ability to use hand and power tools as necessary

· All other duties assigned
