Mary Jane’s Online Store Manager is a full time; Monday to Friday 40 hour a week, position based out of the 154 Rutland Road, Kelowna BC, store. This position requires a highly organized individual to attend to our online customers from start to finish. You will be responsible for packing their online orders, answering any customer concerns regarding our products and/or shipping while maintaining, updating, promoting and monitoring our online store. You will also be part of a management team that manages inventory and sales.

We require someone with a strong skill set in writing emails and making telephone calls to our customers, other team members and our suppliers. The creative aspect to this role is being in charge of our email marketing campaigns, helping to organize sales, blog writing and coming up with new suggestions to improve our sales. We have a fantastic team of management that you will be able to collaborate with regarding creating sales and marketing campaigns.

This position also requires some active selling on the sales floor when times are slow and the online store has been caught up. You will be trained on our till and inventory system. We thrive on keeping an organized, upbeat environment with happy staff and customers.

This is not a desk job, please expect to be standing 70% of the time that you are at work.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing the packing and shipping of online sales
  • Managing the shipping account
  • Helping to manage and maintain our inventory (online and in store)
  • Emailing/calling our customers, other team members and suppliers
  • Responding to customer enquiries and concerns
  • Email marketing
  • Blog and product description writing
  • Basic graphic design and product photography
  • Inventory management
  • Planning and executing in store and online sales
  • Sales associate on the sales floor

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and coordinate a series of tasks with demands of a quick turnaround.
  • High capacity and the ability to multi-task with attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic with the capability of working independently and with a team
  • Highly motivated and excellent problem solving skills
  • Basic knowledge of EITHER Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Basic knowledge of taking and posting product images and descriptions
  • Friendly and helpful manner, with excellent communication focused attitude
  • Proficient in making professional telephone calls and emails
  • Application of creativity and insight in all projects
  • Shopify experience (an asset)
  • SEO experience (an asset)
  • Blog writing (an asset)
