About the Job:
This role will be responsible for the supporting the efforts of multi-state cultivation operations and staff for the production of medical-grade cannabis. Responsible for executing the strategic direction for the Cultivation operations across the country including leading, monitoring, and analyzing current practices and procedures to ensure effectiveness. Position often acts as a liaison between 3rd party consultants and vendors, as well as other company departments, including managers of different areas of the organization.
Support the leadership teams of multi-state facilities to ensure that plant material is delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner consistent with company standards
Assist with identifying and implementing the most cost-effective production processes and management of human capital
Focus on cultivation production metrics, work processes, material flow and efficiencies
Support local Cultivation Managers across all Holistic cultivation facilities
Oversee the Cultivation Capacity team to effectively support new and existing Holistic cultivation facilities
Coordinate and assist facility management with cultivation related vendor and consultant partnerships
Oversee implementation of national standards and best practices in all cultivation processes
Ensure cultivation compliance with applicable State regulations
Support the development and implementation of planting/harvesting schedules that align with sales targets
Help reduce expenses and increase productivity across all business units resulting in increased efficiencies
Ensure consistent onboarding and training of all cultivation management new hires
Work cross-collaboratively to optimize shared learning opportunities within the cultivation department
Educate and update staff members on industry standard best practices and safety guidelines
Communicate schedules, status, issues, or obstacles to senior management
Support the design and launch new cultivation facilities, effectively planning all facets of the cultivation process
Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising products safety or integrity
Physical Requirements of the Job
Regulations require that incumbent be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain state marijuana work credentials.
Bachelor’s Degree in a plant-focused discipline preferred
Minimum 5 years’ experience managing product, staff and resources in a controlled environment agriculture operation at the senior level, or equivalent work experience
Demonstrated ability to achieve production objectives in terms of volume, product mix, cost and quality
Extensive knowledge in environment, health and safety standards in agricultural operations required, including state-specific cannabis regulations.
Previous commercial cannabis growing experience required
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Highly knowledgeable on cultivation management and control platforms
