Primary Function: This position will have dual roles in assisting with the day-to-day operations. They will ensure seamless processing of outgoing shipments and incoming items.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the warehouse supervisor and production departments in order to achieve accurate data for reporting purposes for both compliance and forecasting
• Perform counts and ensure that all raw materials and/or cannabis products are accounted for and reported according to company policy and compliance standards
• Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking
• Maintain filing of shipping documents
• Prepare and schedule shipments as assigned, includes creating daily shipment schedules
• Oversee and help with the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries
• Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventory throughout the production process, reconciling actual stock counts to computer-generated reports. Reporting discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
• Assess inventory output on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to identify trends in productivity
• Sort and distribute incoming shipments
• Perform quality audits of the condition of shipped goods for both incoming and outgoing items prior to signing off
• Ensure shipments contain proper documentation and if multiple items per shipment, ensure item lists are complete.
• Problem solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments, and deliveries.
• Ensure storage room is clean, tidy, and organized at all times.
• Manage waste in accordance with compliance standards
• Assist with the cultivation and post-harvest teams to collect and destroy product
• Ensure the loading dock area, dry rooms and product destruction areas are clean
• Support cleaning of production rooms as required
• Support with other inventory and packaging duties if required
• Daily disposal of garbage and cardboard in production area to main garbage bin
• Work in compliance of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Comply with Quality Assurance standard operating procedures, policies, and guidelines
• Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
• Previous experience with shipping & receiving considered an asset
