JOB SUMMARY*

The Post-Harvest Lead will have knowledge of the entire growing process, supervising the harvest associates, and overseeing the entire harvesting process.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES *

• Lead and supervise the Harvest team during the harvest process to ensure the harvest is competed in a timely manner.

• Keeping contact with appropriate dispensary employees to ensure weekly product orders get completed appropriately: proper packaging for each product and appropriate completed paperwork.

• Assess each harvest to determine the need for any last-minute treatments and distributing tasks to team to complete treatments.

• Lead team on quality control checks to ensure only high-quality products are delivered to the dispensary.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment for all employees.

• Ensure the proper use of PPE by all employees.

• Send detailed harvest report to supervisor each week that includes strain, weight at all stages, amount of lost product, etc.

• Ensure proper care of all products during the harvesting, drying, curing, and extraction preparation process while taking detailed notes.

• Set goals and meet deadlines.

• Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork.

• Participate in ongoing education and professional development as needed.

• Work collectively and respectfully with other team members.

• Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS *

• Experience and knowledge in horticulture and/or agriculture.

• Previous manufacturing/ laborer experience.

• Ability to assist with management of work schedules and productivity levels as the lead contact for harvest/trim staff.

• Ability to motivate the harvest/trim team and to keep the pace of the department moving along and efficient to meet trim goals and requirements.

• Ability to complete tracking and management spreadsheets and documents under the direction of the Post-Harvest Manager, as needed.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to manage high stress situations and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it.

• Working safely in a warehouse setting.

• Self-motivated.

• Must have the ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

• Throughout extended periods, must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking throughout the workday.

• General tool, hardware, ladder, and building skills. Must be able to use a 12' extension ladder.

• Ability to multi-task.

• Remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations.

• Ability to communicate through various formats including email and phone.

• At least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US.

• If necessary, ability to work 7 days per week and to be flexible with schedule.

• Environmental requirements and exposure:

• Exposure to fertilizer, dusts, odors, high heat, low temperature, high and low humidity, high noise levels, vibrations, water, dry salts, allergens, pollen, dust, plant pathogens, other volatile organic compounds, and other environmental variables

EDUCATION *

• Minimum High School or G.E.D equivalent required.

• Degree in horticulture, agriculture, or plant science field is desirable.
