Garden State Botanicals is a recent Medical Marijuana Dispensary Awardee in New Jersey. We are a top ranked applicant with an outstanding and highly experienced management team. We are seeking an individual with a background of proven success in running Cannabis retail stores to join our team as a senior Executive to launch our first store which will open this Autumn. More importantly our affiliated partners will be opening four additional adult use Cannabis stores in New Jersey later in 2022 or early 2023. After opening the first store, this key executive will then build a team to run a management company and serve as the COO to oversee the management and operations of all five stores across New Jersey.

The EVP-Retail Operations is responsible for the execution of all retail store sales and operations, and to ensure our team delivers consistent, positive, and leading customer service while driving profitable top line sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Recruit, hire and staff the dispensary by recruiting top talent with a diverse set of skills.

• Coach, develop and maximize the success of all associates.

• Analyze key business metrics and develop action plans.

• Effective P&L management.

• Direct workforce management activities.

• Direct inventory activities, resolving all discrepancies in accordance with state law.

• Oversee operational execution, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed.

• Lead a consistent focus on customer loyalty and create emotionally engaging customer experiences.

• Direct the implementation of customer engagement strategies.

• Coordinate and partner with management to drive the success of promotions and loyalty programs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has supervisory responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Manage and motivate staff (including hiring, firing, performance management and recognition duties).

• Train, direct and appraise staff.

• Create daily work schedule(s) for proper employee utilization

• Plan and organize workload and staff assignments.

• Issue written and oral instructions; assign duties and examine work for correctness and conformance to policy and procedures.

COMPETENCIES:

• Demonstrated success managing single or multiple location(s) with full P&L responsibility.

• Strong experience in generating significant retail Cannabis sales revenue.

• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Must have excellent interpersonal skills.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, ELIGIBILITY and TRAINING:

• Must be 21 years of age or older.

• Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) from a four-year college / university; and over five years' experience of multiple location leadership experience, leadership in a high-volume retail sales environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The position must occasionally lift, push, pull and / or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, this position is occasionally required to sit and regularly use hand(s) to handle, grasp, feel, and or touch. This position is frequently required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. This position is required to speak and listen regularly.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position performs duties in an office / retail store setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
