This position is responsible for leading the Company’s technical accounting to ensure compliance with US and Canada regulatory authorities and providing technical support to the Finance team. This individual will be tasked to work with all stakeholders across the company on SEC reporting matters as well as audit requirements and processes including compliance with Sarbanes Oxley.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the external reporting process and provide analysis as needed.

• Understand the Company’s products, services, and required regulatory reporting requirements

• Review contracts and agreements, determine accounting requirements and communicate / work with local accounting department and corporate external reporting to ensure compliance in accordance with US GAAP standards.

• Analyze and record general ledger activity for certain accounting areas including, equity, leases, land contracts, investments, and financial instruments.

• Support investor relations

• Support acquisition due diligence and assist in integration of acquired businesses into the company.

• Manage the quarterly and annual audit or review process as needed

• Support the development and implementation of internal controls to be in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley.

• Special projects and other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• 4+ years Relevant Experience

• 4+ years Public Accounting Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, equivalent experience in a related field required may be considered

• Certified Public Accountant

• Excellent interpersonal, team building/collaborative, and communication skills

• Strong accounting and analytical skills with great attention to details

• Critical thinker with ability to identify and solve problems in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

• Advanced user of MS applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams required

• Advanced experience with ERP Systems, valuation models, stock tracking, and valuation software required

• SEC, IFRS Reporting, and controls experience
