Position: COO / Director of Cultivation and Processing
A growing single state operator in Ohio who focuses on manufacturing a craft product is looking to bring an experienced cannabis leader on to their expanding team. This COO/Director of Operations should be well-versed in all aspects of cultivating the plant, overseeing post-harvest, and extraction operations. This individual will be hands-on with the facility and staff every day and will have full oversight of P&L.
The ideal candidate will not only have overseen cultivation facilities in excess of 20k sf but should also have an understanding of solventless extraction methods in addition to a strategic mindset to help steer and expand the organization.
Responsibilities
• Create and improve quality standards and procedures for cultivation and post-harvest operations
• Oversee daily grow operations for the entire site and responsibly manage up to a team of 20+
• Manage the daily output of plants and train and develop hourly staff
• Full P&L responsibility for the cultivation and post-harvest department
• Strong acumen in forecasting, budgeting, and projections
Qualifications
• Demonstrated understanding of Cannabis cultivation and solventless extraction techniques
• Experience growing with different mediums, vertical indoor grows, and LED lighting
• 3+ years' experience in the Cannabis industry
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Expert-level understanding of team management, business operations, and HR functions
• Prior experience as a Director or Senior Manager in an operations or general manager capacity
• Proven ability to navigate the cannabis industry and compliance structures
