Summary of Position:

To control all deliveries and stock in the dispensary. Retail Inventory Manager is responsible for day to day inventory operations, intake, and support at the retail storefront. They ensure daily inventory counts, product intake, and oversee inventory associates in packing orders. They also ensure products are received within California Track and Trace system (METRC) and POS system, and have appropriate labels before being transferred to the inventory area and sales floor. In addition, this person will have the ability to add vendors, product and P.O.’s to the system as well as print and apply barcodes to all product. This person must have a pleasant and outgoing personality and S.H.I.N.E. (Smile, Handshake, Introduce, Name, Engage) with each and every person they come in contact with.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Packing online, curbside & in-store orders.
  • Product organization
  • Receive deliveries according to company policies
  • Adds new vendors when necessary
  • Adds new product when necessary
  • Adds P.O.’s when necessary
  • Responsible for barcoding all new inventory in Point of Sale system
  • Help with daily/weekly cycle counts and inventory evaluation and verification procedures
  • Provide timely notice to Inventory Manager if discrepancies are found, so that they may be fully investigated
  • Transfers inventory from the safe to the dispensary
  • Transfers inventory from the dispensary to the safe
  • Reconciles inventory in both the safe and the dispensary
  • Work with General Manager to maintain an accurate account of non-stock and unavailable inventory
  • Implementation of cannabis waste procedures and schedule
  • Create a calendar of all upcoming expired products
  • Maintain a list of all quarantined product
  • Operates in adherence to the Bureau of Cannabis Control.
  • Maintains pricing structure and insures all product is entered into the system
  • Print and apply barcode labels to all product
  • Stocks and organizes all product in the safe
  • Breaks down and recycles all boxes from received stock
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area
  • Other Duties as necessary or assigned.

Job Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below.

  • Must be 21 years of age or over
  • Inventory experience in a retail environment
  • Strong math skills
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Word
  • METRC or similar cannabis seed-to-sale tracking software experience (preferred)
  • Familiar with Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Must be able to work days, nights, holidays and weekends
  • Excellent organization and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Experience working in a team orientated environment
  • Knowledge of inventory software/systems a plus

Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 3 years of relevant experience and/or training (Preferred)
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

  • Valid California Driver's License

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours at a time
  • Must be able to sit for up to 8 hours at a time
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds safely and properly
  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop or lift multiple times per shift
  • Must have the ability to lift overhead up to 20 pounds of weight on a semi regular basis

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
