Responsibilities: Ensure the overall and ongoing compliance to the Cannabis Act and its Regulations. Management of research and development projects (protocols, design of experiments, sampling, data collection, analysis of results and conclusions, drafting of reports) – Provides expertise, leadership, and direction for the cultivation (mothers, cloning, R&D). Provides strong staff leadership and ensures training, performance management, and employee development practices are implemented. Identify which strains will enter production on specific timelines. Develops and manages the production schedule. Ensures optimal labor utilization is achieved through the scheduling of labor relative to production schedules. Works closely with QA to ensure consistent quality practices throughout the production facility. Identify and implement cost-saving measures to ensure production costs are within an acceptable level. Continually identify measures to increase quality and yield. Responsible for holding and maintaining security clearance granted by Health Canada. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Agronomy and Member of the Ordre des agronomes du Quebec 10 years of relevant experience; Experience in personnel management; Bilingual English, French, Spanish an asset; Knowledge of irrigation systems/strategies for optimal greenhouse environment Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines to ensure crop work is completed on time Good computer skills within Microsoft Office (Outlook
