Job Summary Cresco Labs is seeking a Vice President of Security to join our growing team and support our Security operations across all our Retail, Operations, and Headquarters locations. Reporting to the SVP of Compliance, the VP of Security will be a key player in driving effective security strategies overall while looking for ways to enhance our strategies around vendor selection and management, incident response, emergency management procedures, and physical security infrastructure. Core Job Duties Building a World Class Security Program Responsible for the comprehensive security risk mitigation strategy and plan for all Cresco Labs retail and operations facilities. To include planning and training/toolkits where applicable. Collaborates with Compliance, Operational Excellence, Retail, and Environmental Health and Safety on strategic and operational processes and plans to create a world class safety and security program. Leads Security and Emergency Management teams in interfacing with staff from field operations, regions, and corporate leadership to build a culture of protection through a comprehensive training and exercise program Establishes and maintains assessment program focused on enhancing security, threat management, and resiliency across Cresco Labs enterprise. Identifies innovative practices involving toolkits for trainings, drills, and other exercises for Cresco Employees to respond and recover from all security incidents Supports securing project specific Emergency Plans including local first response contacts and company contacts. Supports the establishment of crisis teams to include available trainings throughout the Cresco Labs enterprise Developing, monitoring, and disseminating company security goals and/or benchmarks to company employees and subcontractors. Dissemination of governing security regulations, appropriate industry “best practices” as well as internal “best practices” to company management, supervisors, and employees to ensure continuous learning and improvement in security performance. Standardization and Vendor Management Leads standardization efforts across the footprint to align security systems under one enterprise umbrella. To include standardization of security hardware and software, monitoring and response protocol, and training exercises. Establishes and maintains key operational and tactical relationships with suppliers, contractors, and vendors. Responsible for all aspects of security vendor management – including gap assessment and vendor selection, Master Agreement negotiation, cost management, billing, and logistical management of vendor representatives. Responsible for all aspects of physical security – with focus on policy, processes and procedures Incident Response and Company Liaison Engages positively with the communities where Cresco operates to ensure strong partnerships and connections with key agencies associated with a major response or business continuity situation Acts as company Liaison to outside groups for security purposes – including local governments, law enforcement agencies, and emergency managers Properly circulates threat and security concerns to internal parties – Communications, Public Affairs, Compliance, etc. to maintain unified company response to incident and threats. Manage interactions and effectively communicate with all levels of the company, outside support/consulting and regulatory agency personnel. Acts as a key liaison during incidents and supports the coordination of incidents to include key due indicators and crisis coordination as needed or requested by senior leadership. Continuous Improvement Participate in project planning meetings as well as significant security incident investigations and root cause analysis in conjunction with Operational Excellence and Environmental Health Safety Analyze security performance, make recommendations, and drive positive change. Communicate to leadership and Operations the requirements for improving performance including addressing issues, concerns, and corrective actions. Develop, monitor and update security regulatory and awareness policies and educational training for company management, supervisors, and employees. Revise current policies and procedures to meet changes in Operations and/or regulatory requirements. Supports risk assessments and regular reporting in conjunction with departmental personnel focused on enterprise risk management practices Required Experience, Education and Skills Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience with security management experience Masters degree and/or professional certificate a plus 10 years security experience to include leadership positions or equivalent military experience 3 years of leadership experience in physical security planning 3 years of experience building strategic and operational teams focused on specific mission sets Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint and incident / safety programs Proven track record of building and maintaining teams in person and remotely Ability to provide written information quickly and effectively during an incident with little to no guidance Strong attention to detail, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding ambitious goals Flexible and adaptable mindset Covid-19 Requirements Cresco Labs requires that all corporate employees be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus on or before September 30, 2021.
