We are on a mission to be the most trusted and loved brand in Cannabis.About the Role : The Packing & Warehouse Manager position will work within the Agriculture department pertaining to needs for harvesting, freezing, drying, packaging and storage of cannabis materials for Central Coast Agriculture.

Reporting to the Director of Packing & Warehouse Operations. The Manager of Packing & Warehouse Operations is responsible for executing team tasks and projects, ensure all labor needs are met, packaging material and cannabis inventory is accurately and compliantly labeled and tracked, and all equipment request and maintenance alerts are submitted in a timely manner.

This position requires exposure to and use of liquid nitrogen as well as working within refrigerated / freezer environments.

Working environment will be very dynamic and will require time to be spent in areas like a office, warehouse, Cryo shop, and processing house environments.

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty in a satisfactory manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required for this position.

What You'll Do : Executing team tasks and projects that are developed by, and in coordination with the Director of Packing & Warehouse Operations.

Design, improve, execute packaging techniques, climate controlled storage, and monitor equipment for the processing and inventorying of cannabis.

Participate in the planning, preparation, and execution of CCA activities with the Teams withing the Agriculture Department including Nursery, Cultivation, IPM, and Track & Trace / Compliance to assess and complete projects related to processing, packaging, and inventorying of fresh frozen and / or dried cannabis for Central Coast Agriculture.

Assists with research and educational activities by following verbal and written protocols and communicating effectively with your team's Supervisors, Coordinators, Leads, and Technicians.

Establish and oversee training and supervision of employees performing packing house duties. Oversee that the Supervisor are effectively leading their team of packers, weighers, and feeders.

Ensure all Inventory data is logged properly in both internal sheets and systems (Google and Sage) as well logged accurately and compliantyly in state system(s) like METRC.

Contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.

With approval from the director impliment / improve documentation and proper storage of of METRC manifests, tags, users, as well as any associated reports for audits, discrepancies, and adjustments / resolutions shipping and receiving documents.

Supports the overall success of Central Coast Agriculture by performing all other duties as assigned.Perform all functions safely following prescribed rules and protocols.

Operate or tend to equipment used in processing facilities, including Cryogenic Tunnel Vacuum sealers, compressors, printing machines, sealed scales, forklifts etc.

Manipulate controls to set, activate and adjust mechanisms on machinery. Develop and implement SOPs for safe and efficient operations.

Responsible for the ordering and receiving of packing house supplies and PPE.Assist in the development and implementation of team Work Guides, Job Aids, and department SOPs.

Responsible for submit any and all team related purchase requests to purchasing department for Director's approval. Continually coordinate with Director to find better products and vendor pricing.

Ensure crew doesn't stock out of needed materials and equipment.Create, Implement, and Improve effective safety trainings for all department tasks associated with hazards and employee safety including but not limited to the loading and unload containers of harvested material manually or by forklift, operating the cryogenic equipment, and safe entry and exit our of cold storage areas.

Able to work nights and weekends when required. Potential of developing a 2nd and 3rd shift.Competencies in Planning and Organizing- Engages in short and long-term planning, sets priorities to optimize time usage, ensures staff is adhering to schedules and plans.

Assists team members in accomplishing their objectives by making sure machinery functions properly, establishes effective working relationships, and promotes team efforts.

Assist with the construciton, setup, and testing packing and warehouse machinery / equipment to ensure adequate performance prior to use in the processing buildings.

Learn and grow, maintain current knowledge in the field and advancements in pesticide application technology and machinery transport safety and compliance.

Accountability and Productivity- Holds themselves accountable to team members, accepts responsibility for their own decisions, sustains peak performance and solves problems that impede productivity.

What You'll Need to Have : Accuracy- Attention to detail is critical Organization- experience creating and implementing processes.

Excellent time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment Must have Bachelor's Degree or at least 4-5 years related work experience.

Food safety, GAP experience Ability to work well remotely and while off site Willingness to work as a team Excellent verbal and written communication skills Expert user of Microsoft Office and / or Google’s G suite Strong organizational and follow-up skills Flexible in work schedule as needed On call 24 / 7 at all CCA Processing locations Functional knowledge of California cannabis regulations Must be 21 years of age (or older) at the time of hire Have a Valid CA Drivers’ License and be insurable Proficiency of both English and spanish languages, verbal and written formatWhat You'll ReceiveCompetitive base salary and performance-based incentive plan.
