Job Description

Our client, a leading cannabis genetics nursery, is seeking a Sales Associate for their head office in Kelowna, BC. This individual will report to the CEO and sell a superior line of clones. They will build new business and relationships with Canadian licensed producers and follow up with existing clients to ensure their needs are continually met.

Responsibilities:

• Build sales success for the company by directly selling to licensed producers

• Manage all current accounts as the main point of contact

• Ensure client needs are routinely met and communication is proactive

• Build your own pipeline by identifying new opportunities for direct sales to licensed producers

• Track and report on your sales activity by sharing weekly progress with the CEO

• Ensure that all plants are delivered on time and on budget and follow up with customers after receipt of delivery to ensure that they are happy with their shipment

• Share marketing and promotional material with current and prospective customers to build interest in the company brand and product line

• Work the booth at regional trade shows and brand activations to help close new business

• Create brand awareness within the North American market to ensure that licensed producers are aware of the brand and understand what the company can do for them

• Participate in weekly operations meetings to share progress with the broader team and find opportunities to align or share knowledge with others inside the organization

• Liaise with marketing to get support for sales materials, promotions, and any other sales materials that help you do your job.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years experience in sales, ideally in a regulated industry such as alcohol, tobacco, or the pharmaceutical industry

• Previous experience working in Canada's legal cannabis industry is an asset, including working in a retail cannabis store

• Solid interpersonal communication skills and a desire to help others

• Positive team player with excellent people skills

• Insightful person with the ability to identify consumer motivators and customer goals and understand the customer-supplier relationship

• Excellent organizational skills and project management skills

• Solid computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Knowledge and experience with Google Drive is an asset
