The Cultivation Lead (Outdoor) will report to the Master Grower and designated management as required and will be responsible for overseeing all cultivation, harvest, and maintenance related activities as well as farm cleanup and general outdoor field maintenance. You will work varying shift lengths and times averaging to a 40 hour work week.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION:
• Take direction from the Plant Manager (Master Grower) in all aspects of field and clone preparation and planting including tilling soil, removing rocks, weed control, preparing irrigation lines, laying mulch, cutting clones, maintaining clones, and transplanting newly propagated clones;
• Take direction from the Plant Manager (Master Grower) in relation to all outdoor cultivation activities and maintenance including pruning, trimming, plant training, watering, field maintenance, and pest and disease management;
• Take direction from Plant Manager (Master Grower) to help manage all aspects of cannabis harvesting, drying and packaging to ensure schedules are met, processes and resources are optimized;
• Aid in post-season clean up with activities such as ripping out plastic mulch, rolling up irrigation lines and tilling in remaining plant material, root and stalk into field;
• Keep accurate documentation and records for all cloning, planting, harvesting, drying and packaging activity;
• Clean and sterilize all equipment and grow areas according to SOPs and Cannabis regulation requirements;
• Contribute to farm maintenance and cleanliness, safety and compliance; ensure all duties are performed in accordance with Health Canada Cannabis Regulations, WorkSafeBC, SOPs, and other requirements;
• Communicate issues or deviations with management in a timely manner;
• Other general labour duties as required.
WHAT YOU BRING:
• Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent is considered an asset;
• Experience of Cannabis plant anatomy and strains;
• Experience in leading teams in a horticulture or cannabis industry setting preferred;
• WHMIS Certification/Training preferred;
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation;
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time;
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail; and
• A passion for being outdoors and working with the plants;
• Ability to work varying shifts including evenings and weekends.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:
• Previous experience in a highly regulated, commercial growing or production environment considered a strong asset;
• Cannabis cultivation experience considered an asset; and
• Experience working in a similar outdoor general labour position is considered an asset.
