Job DescriptionThe Operations Manager will be responsible for post-harvest operations of legally cultivated cannabis at BeWell’s Lowell cultivation facility. Core responsibilities are drying, trimming, and packaging product into finished goods. He or she will oversee and manage personnel to perform all the tasks necessary to produce cannabis products to high standards and provide support for cultivation as needed. Process improvement and KPI implementation are critical objectives. The Operations Manager must be able to identify opportunities for throughput improvement, effectively present action plans, and lead a continuous improvement process. The ideal candidate will have solid work experience in manufacturing and operations for scaling companies, including lean, quality assurance, and team leadership.Additional responsibilities include; maintaining an accurate inventory, communicating any issues to the Director of Cultivation and meeting production goals by supporting Harvest and Trim Technicians.Duties & Responsibilities Effectively build, staff, and train the trimming and packaging departments in conjunction with the expansion of the facility.Ensure that teams meet production goals and improve productivity over time.Facilitate the creation and enforcement of all SOPs Ensure the overall facility is clean, organized, and efficiently operating (5S).Maintain virtual and physical inventory of harvested flower while ensuring accuracy of METRC database while coordinating with Inventory Manager. Complete periodic departmental audits as needed; complies with related record-keeping requirements, including movement logs, waste logs, and task assignments.Manage post-harvest operations by maximizing process efficiency that includes but is not limited to: · Burping logs & adherence to burping/curing procedures· Maintaining an accurate inventory of supplies that reflects the needs of the department · Establish clear criteria for categorizing flower quality· Create and disseminate weekly reportsRequirementsBachelor’s Degree in operations management, business management, or similar discipline preferred Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing operationsExperience leading a teamProficiency in MS Excel and MS Office required Strong interpersonal skills with a personal mindset of accountability Ability to work independently in a highly organized manner Previous cannabis and Metrc experience helpful but not required Must be able to pass a Cannabis Control background check BeWell is focused on the health and safety of everyone on our team.
