We operate the wholesale distribution of non-medical cannabis and beverage alcohol within the province, as well as the household retail brands of BC Cannabis Stores and BC Liquor Stores.

The LDB has been assigned to distribute, wholesale and sell non-medicinal cannabis inclusive of a government owned online channel with a mandate to support government's key priorities of protecting children and youth, ensuring health and safety standards, and keeping the criminal element out of the supply chain. Following legalization, the BCLDB began distribution and wholesale of cannabis, and operating BC Cannabis Stores in a growing number of locations across the province. Since 2018 the BC Cannabis Stores chain has grown to 25 locations with more growth planned all across the province. Cannabis operations within the BCLDB includes the Distribution, Merchandising, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, and Digital Operations departments.
The Senior Manager, Store Operations Admin leads and manages the development and implementation of systems to monitor and evaluate BCCS operational (including financial, inventory, human resources) performance relative to KPIs and leads change initiatives to enhance operational performance and profitability.
The Senior Manager fulfils a critical role, leading specific initiatives to enhance the operational performance and profitability of BCCS operations. The task is multifaceted and requires the application of a comprehensive knowledge of operations management and seasoned judgement skills to adapt best practices in performance management to the complex distributed network of retail stores that is the BCCS environment.
The Senior Manager works with a wide range of internal and external contacts, supervises a team, and collaborates with BCCS Managers and Regional Managers to achieve objectives.

Education and Experience:
• Degree or diploma in business, operations management or equivalent discipline and a minimum of 3 years of recent, related experience*.
• A combination of recent, related experience, education and training may be considered, i.e., a minimum of 5 years of recent, related experience* maybe be considered equivalent to the educational requirement.
• Recent, related experience must be within the past 5 years and must include leading and managing:
• financial planning, forecasting and budget management in a significant multi-unit retail business.
• the design, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of administrative/business processes to standardize operations and improve productivity/accountability.
• procurement and contract management.
• supervising a work unit.
Preference may be given to candidates with:
• experience enhancing operational performance in a union environment.
• experience in the alcohol beverage or cannabis industry.
• Experience facilitating seminars or courses in a corporate environment.
