Senior Accountant

The role will provide a 360-degree experience working in private accounting, including involvement in treasury accounting, financial statement close process, GAAP reporting, controls, transactional accounting, policy, capital management, tax, inventory, and much more. We are looking for an accounting professional that thrives in a fast-paced startup environment who is not afraid to speak up, thinks big but appreciates the importance of details. Responsibilities:

• GAAP reporting and compliance

• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation

• Monthly and quarterly reconciliations for all GL items

• Treasury management and accounting

• Travel & entertainment expense oversight and accounting

• A/P oversight and accounting

• Inventory & COGS accounting

• Investment & consolidation accounting pursuant to ASC 805, 810, and 820

• Lease accounting pursuant to ASC 842

• Fixed asset accounting and capitalization rules

• FV assessments under ASC 820

• Expense allocations to portfolio companies

• Preparation of internal memos to document significant transactions as needed

• Assist with the year-end external audits and interim reviews

• Exposure to M&A activities

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or another related field

• A minimum of 3 + years public or public/private experience

• CPA required, or actively pursuing the certification.

Additional Qualifications:

• Bright, quick learner, self-motivated

• An understanding of financial reporting systems, procedures, and controls

• Advanced Excel skills

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and prioritization capabilities

• Ability to both work independently as well as in group to research and apply GAAP guidance

• Familiarity with Netsuite and/or Microsoft preferred
