Job Title: IPM Spray Technician

Department: Cultivation

FLSA Status: Regular- Non-Exempt

Location: Hancock, Maryland


Role Summary:

The IPM Spray Technician requires a hands-on approach to assist in shaping the culture of Trulieve. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a large cannabis cultivation facility.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting all plants/rooms in every facility throughout the company
  • Taking notes on and assessing plant health, pest issues and cleanliness of grow rooms for daily reports by email as well as the Trulieve SharePoint
  • Taking plant samples for inspection to identify pests or plant health issues
  • Maintaining a good relationship with staff and management to more effectively solve issues or avoid problems within grow facilities
  • Researching pests and plant health issues and how to better deal with them in a compliant manner
  • Work independently with excellent time management skills to inspect all rooms in facilities before light cycle switches off
  • Verbal presentations for weekly management meetings
  • Maintain equipment necessary for the completion of all tasks
  • Alerting the staff as to the location of any identified pest or problem in grow rooms, also providing written instructions as to where said pests are found
  • Complete spray applications as assigned by management
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age

We operate with a sense of responsibility to our customers and patients, building stronger and more socially responsible communities everywhere we go.</p><p><b>Job Description</b></p><p>Reporting to the Inventory Supervisor, the Inventory Technician is primarily responsible for maintaining inventory and facilitating the testing of harvested cannabis as well as the distribution to the Harvest-Trim Department, Flower Packaging Department, and Production Department.</p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><p>Tech I</p><p>• Create physical 'lots'</p><p>• Enter data for each 'Lot' on the Package Creation Log (Microsoft Forms)</p><p>• Quality Control on incoming trimmed flower from dry trim department</p><p>• Transfer b-grade and/or shake to Production Manager (internally)</p><p>• Assist Post Harvest team with confirming the untrimmed dry weight (\"Bucking\") of each harvest batch</p><p>• Assist Dry Trim team with selecting Harvest Batch to trim and/or sort</p><p>• Assist Dry Trim Team with batching sheet; when necessary</p><p>• Provide Director of Cultivation with final dry weights from each room/harvest</p><p>• Completion of Destruction Log and disposal of plant waste with a witness; when necessary</p><p>• Perform monthly inventory audit</p><p>• Coordinate with Harvest-Trim team and Sorting team on getting \"bigs\" ready to trim</p><p>• \"Burp\" bud and/or shake; when necessary</p><p>• Dry trim cannabis flowers, including: preparation, sorting, sifting, and trimming.</p><p>• Other duties as assigned by Leads and or Management</p><p>Tech II</p><p>• Meets all requirements of Tech I</p><p>• Regularly exceeds minimum productivity expectations</p><p>• Minimum of 1 year experience packaging experience</p><p>• Ability to work independently</p><p>• Offers mentorship to new employees</p><p>• Facilitate the 3rd party lab testing of all 'lots'</p><p>• Enter necessary harvest batch data on the 'KYND Production Timeline'</p><p>• Create virtual \"lots\" in Leaf Logix and METRC</p><p>Tech III</p><p>• Meets all requirements of Tech II</p><p>• Minimum of 2 years packaging experience</p><p>• Point of contact for new employees</p><p>• Conducts new hire department training</p><p>• Able to perform duties of all departmental zones</p><p>Skills/Abilities Required</p><p>• Attention to detail with excellent record keeping ability</p><p>• Willingness to learn and improve each operation</p><p>• Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time</p><p>• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task</p><p>• Commitment to arrive for scheduled shifts on time and maintain consistent attendance</p><p>• Availability to work occasional weekends and holidays</p><p>Requirements/Preferred Experience</p><p>• High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)</p><p>• Must have a clear understanding of weights and measures and ability to operate a scale</p><p>• Ability to work within a team and on an individual basis</p><p>• Familiarity with warehouse procedures</p><p>• Ability to work in a timely manner and drive to increase productivity</p><p>• Experience and knowledge and familiarity with Cannabis</p><p>• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)</p><p>• Must be 21 years of age or older, and be able to pass an extensive background check</p><p>• Must be authorized to work in the United States</p><p><b>Physical Requirements</b></p><p>• Ability to stand on feet or sit for extended periods of time</p><p>• Ability to have extended cannabis exposure, with no adverse physical reaction</p><p>• Ability to use repetitive use of hands, wrists and forearms</p><p>• Fine visual acuity with the ability to adjust focus to inspect closely, ability to recognize different colors.</p><p>• Normal vision or corrected by use of glasses and/or contacts for normal reading and viewing abilities to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned, or to make general observations of facilities or structures.</p><p>• Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to meet job and operate equipment requirements</p><p>• Requires normal range of hearing with the ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and making fine discriminations in sound.</p><p>• Ability to twist, turn, bend, stand and walk as required to perform the duties associated with functioning as a dispensary manager.</p><p>• Pushing/pulling/carrying, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally</p><p>• Regular and on-time attendance (Hours may exceed 40 hours per week)</p><p>Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.</p><p><b>Work Environment</b></p><p>Work is performed in several locations that include a cannabis cultivation and production facility. The working area may be odorous at times and loud due to fans and filtration systems, fluctuating between cold and warm temperatures. Involves frequent contact with staff.
