We are looking for an IT Helpdesk Technician who will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing helpdesk support tickets, and supporting a wide range of technologies in a fast-paced environment.

In this role you will….


  • Resolve a regular workload of tickets as predetermined by management.
  • Communicate expectations, ticket progress, and status changes with requestor.
  • Create and improve internal workflow process for submitting, tracking, and resolving IT concerns.
  • Track, report, and communicate status of individual ticket queue to management.
  • Set up new user accounts and workstations.
  • Train staff to maximize the potential of existing technology, take new users through the orientation process, and provide additional support and training upon request.
  • Assist end users with software and hardware questions or problems.
  • Administer and support users in Office365, POS systems and industry specific applications.
  • Maintain internal system support documentation.
  • Maintain equipment and manage asset inventory lists.
  • Participate in rotating on call schedule.
  • Support special programs or projects as required.
  • Troubleshoot phone system and printer management issues.
  • Troubleshoot system failures or problems.
  • Install and test system or application upgrades, patches, fixes etc.

Skills and experience you have...

  • Three years related help desk experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Associates or bachelor's degree in computer information systems preferred.
  • Previous Helpdesk support experience required, and remote Helpdesk support experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows server and desktop operating systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of end user equipment configuration and troubleshooting, including desktops, laptops, RF scan guns, iPads, cell phones, and printers.
  • Working knowledge of network concepts, including LAN, WAN, and private network protocols.
  • Virtualization, advanced networking, VoIP telephony, or Office365 skills preferred
  • Customer service oriented with a focus on follow through.
  • Ability to learn and support industry specific or custom software.
  • Ability to determine urgency and prioritize work appropriately.
  • Flexibility to work independently or in a team as needs require.
  • Strong oral and written communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Some travel to branch or other off-site locations is required.

They will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supporting new enterprise technology as necessary. This role will collaborate with Information Technology (IT) on the development, revision, and implementation of overall IT Strategy.</p><p><b>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES</b></p><p>• Act as the lead systems administrator in solving Level 1 and Level 2 incidents from user and client-base by prioritizing such work and resolving efficiently and completely.</p><p>• Act as the lead systems administrator in handling user administration requests on the full range of server systems. Deliver an efficient response to the user-base and reinforce the customer focus of the Technology Team.</p><p>• Perform hands-on configuration of Microsoft 365 platforms and network components, as well as switches, firewalls and routers.</p><p>• Design, configure, test and implement network and systems capabilities.</p><p>• Document processes to include but not limited to – project management reporting, asset management, accomplishments report, procedures, activity checklist, and help desk incident reporting.</p><p>• Implement and maintain network infrastructure security.</p><p>• Perform accurate maintenance of systems change logs so that there is an audit trail in the event of system failures.</p><p>• Perform configuration work to include patching, upgrades and HW / SW installations as required.</p><p>• Assist in specification and procurement of new equipment in response to user or internally generated demands in order to continuously develop and drive forward the performance and quality of the infrastructure.</p><p>• Maintain and develop storage and backup systems in the business systems domains to offer the most reliable and best performing service to the user-base in order to maintain high levels of user productivity.</p><p>• Maintain the VPN service in order to offer solid remote working capabilities to the user-base.</p><p>• Provide phone and voicemail system maintenance and development.</p><p>• Be on-call, work irregular hours, and travel (max 50%) as required.</p><p><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS</b></p><p>• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. Will accept a combination of relevant work experience, courses and certifications.</p><p>• MCSE /CCNA / CCNP / CISSP helpful.</p><p>• Minimum three years’ business experience in an IT environment that includes a minimum two years in a direct Systems Administrator role.
