Our company is seeking an experienced Information Technology (IT) Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for computer and network set-up and maintenance, software installation, troubleshooting, hardware and peripheral repair, maintaining operating systems, and other IT-related tasks as needed. Ensuring the working order of point-of-sale and inventory management systems is a critical function of this position.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide support for all Information Technology products and services.

  • Support may include answering questions, troubleshooting problems, teaching or instructing customers regarding software or hardware functionality, and communicating policy.

  • Possess excellent communication skills, be able to handle stressful situations with a drive to assist clients, using both industry knowledge and out-of-the box thinking to resolve issues.

  • Determines the most effective manner to resolve client's technical issue. Engages in research and in-depth troubleshooting to resolve technical issues.

  • Promptly records required customer and problem information into the Ticketing System.

  • Updates tickets with appropriate journal entries of activities and closes tickets with resolution.

  • Resolves Level 1 IT Tickets/work orders. Escalates complex and/or high priority problems to appropriate personnel or support groups for resolution.

  • Verifies that suggested solutions effectively resolve the users' problems through verbal or email follow up.

  • Assist in setting up new user profiles, PC’s/Laptops/Phones.

  • Perform software, hardware and firmware upgrades as necessary.

  • Assist in researching products and services as necessary.

  • Works on Helpdesk projects as assigned by manager.

  • Assists with various IT projects that include networking, AD administration, File Server administration and various other IT technologies.

  • Position will require driving to different site locations throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area.

  • Strong desire to learn new technologies and willingness to assist with IT related projects.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 21 years or older with no excluded felony convictions

  • Must be an Arizona resident and possess valid driver's license or state ID

  • Must be able to obtain a Facility Agent or Dispensary Agent card

  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal and company regulations for working in the industry

  • Two-year degree in Computer Science or four years of demonstrated IT experience required

  • Experience and/or knowledge of current technologies available in the IT world

  • Experience in computer hardware, software, and basic network troubleshooting, or equivalent training.

  • Ability to work closely with onsite and remote staff to troubleshoot desktop, mobile, printing and basic network issues

  • Ability to install hardware (computers, printers, routers, etc.) as needed by staff

  • Ability to diagnose software and hardware issues

  • Research and implement solutions with little to no guidance

  • Ability to teach procedural protocol to management staff

  • Ability to communicate technical support clearly in a user-level environment

  • Individual must be able to gauge the customer's technical ability and communicate with them in appropriate technical or non-technical language in a non-condescending manner.

  • This position involves projects and/or assignments requiring considerable decision-making regarding procedures, plans, auditing and schedules. Ability to work independently or in a team setting is necessary

  • Ability to adapt and multitask on various projects

  • Ability and willingness to learn and support new and fast-changing technologies.

  • Must be proficient in MS Office/Tasks suite and Windows family of latest OS’s.

  • Familiarity with VoIP systems, networking, and communication hardware such as Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls preferred

  • Must be proficient in PC setup down to the component level

  • Detail oriented and be able to work with basic tools.

  • Must be able to learn new software packages and assist staff as necessary.

  • Ability to use a keyboard for extended periods of time to enter and retrieve data.

  • Strong desire to be part of a dynamic, goal, and achievement driven environment.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
