Position Summary

The Retail Floor Lead performs the same duties as a Retail Associate, but also provides leadership and support to the Associates by providing coverage on the floor during high volume times, assisting with opening registers and managing cash flow, and resolving menu issues.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Organizes daily division of duties for Associates and ensures floor is stocked and prepped for sale; makes sure the floor is set up correctly each day to maintain brand standards
  • Understands all compliance standards and lives within the reality of cannabis laws and regulations at all times, flags errors and oversights to management
  • Holds all presentation standards before open, during the day and at close of business
  • Holds associates accountable for timely arrival and using their allotted breaks correctly
  • Assigns radios to associates/sections and signs them back in at the end of the day
  • Provides support to retail management team by assisting with opening registers and managing cash flow during the day; making change and moving cash to safe as needed
  • Understands overall store needs, issues, energy of staff and patrons at all times
  • Attends to the line of patrons as needed - never avoiding the first priority, our patrons
  • Provides coverage to associates on floor during high volume times and during breaks
  • Manages print, mood board, and online menus during shift to ensure accuracy and visibility for patrons
  • Maintains compliance according to company safety and security standards

Qualifications & Skills

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to prioritize and adjust in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Previous leadership experience - a plus
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive personal and financial information
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel especially
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle demands from multiple people
  • Ability to ask the right questions and hold others accountable
  • Able to work well with others and motivate a team
  • Open for all holidays except Christmas - must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and events

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
  • Ability to push and pull large carts filled with products (100 – 200lbs)
  • Ability to stand and walk for at least 8 hours at a time
