JOB DESCRIPTION

The Retail Inventory Lead is responsible for supporting their Inventory Manager and Dispensary Staff with supervising and maintaining accurate inventory control measures. Providing leadership, guidance and support to team members, the Inventory Lead fosters an environment that is positive, upbeat and respectful. Inventory Leads are expected to contribute to make their Dispensary a climate which encourages forward thinking, embraces inclusion and practices generosity of spirit. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supports Retail operations in delivering consistent and positive customer experiences by driving inventory accuracy through managing stock levels, variances, storage, menu updates and consumption.

• Perform inventory counts, weekly audits and all necessary adjustments to support the retail business.

• Communicates variances and other inventory issues with Inventory Team; partners with other dispensaries and production facility staff regarding inventory control methods, when needed.

• Manages delivery manifest creation, shipment preparation and shipment receipt.

• Conducts system inventory moves as necessary to support dispensary sales.

• Assists is fostering a positive Support the Inventory Techs with enthusiasm and urgency to train and develop your team’s growth and foster a community of support.

• Assists is fostering a positive work environment, treating everyone with dignity and respect, while perpetuating a curiosity for “everything cannabis”.

• Hold your team to a high standard and ensure communication is fluid and consistent with both praise feedback and constructive feedback.

Above all else, act as the critical link between Sira Naturals and our patients by ensuring they get what they want when they want it.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess basic math and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

• Ability to coordinate and problem solve in a professional manner.

• Ability to communicate effectively with others, while also able to work with limited supervision.

• Must be 21 years of age or older as required by the Massachusetts Cannabis Commission.

• Able to pass all background checks as mandated by the Massachusetts Cannabis Commission.

• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Experience working in cannabis

• Experience working with Mass. Seed to Sale System from METRC

• Experience working in a highly regulated industry.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Able to accommodate scheduling that may include varied shifts, weekend and some holidays.

• Able to escort and assist patients with disabilities in navigating the dispensary, consultation couches, registers, entrances and exits.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• The person in this position frequently communicates with staff. Must be able to exchange accurate information about product availability/offerings.

• Frequently operates computer/POS system and other standard office equipment such as printers, phones and photocopy machine.

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position when accessing inventory or when operating the computer.

• The person in this position must be able to observe and assess delivery operations via cameras and monitor delivery activity.

• Frequently communicates with other staff via Walkie Talkie or Headset.

• Constantly positions self throughout day when conducting inventory counts, receiving deliveries or examining merchandise by maintaining the computer and completing reports.

• Constantly moves and transports dispensary products/totes up to 30 lbs. throughout the dispensary.

Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained, care of perishable product is properly executed, FIFO process is being upheld, finished goods are received/stored properly, processed and made ready for sale in a timely manner. Ensures all cannabis products meet or exceed state and local compliance standards. Any items that do not meet or exceed compliance standards are to be rejected, logged for vendor credit and moved to Green Waste, or destroyed immediately.<br /><b>Duties and Responsibilities: </b><br />Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>Oversee, schedule, train, and assign tasks to inventory team members (Budbacks).</li><li>Ensure proper care and First In, First Out (FIFO) rotation of all inventory for retail and delivery outlet.</li><li>Ensure all products are kept in their ideal state to preserve freshness and quality.</li><li>Ensure all technology platforms - inventory, ERP, METRC, POS - are updated with the most accurate product descriptions and on-hand inventory amounts.</li><li>Coordinate with procurement team and management team to ensure proper turnover of inventory to expedite the sale of expiring products.</li><li>Conduct monthly inventory audits and report any loss runs to General Manager and Headquarters.</li><li>Handle all receiving of items, returns, and exchanges with procurement and shipping teams.</li><li>Advise on upcoming \"best by\" dates for incoming inventory so items can be put on sale or exchanged with vendors prior to expiration.</li><li>Coordinate with managers for the destruction of expiring products as well as notify the procurement team.</li><li>Ensure all invoices, payables, and returns are properly coded and communicated to the Finance department, ensuring clear communication within the accounting ecosystem.</li><li>Account for all discrepancies within manifests and delivery, and report them to our executive teams and the BCC.</li><li>Responsible for receiving all products, checking in products (ERP and METRC), scanning manifests and COA's; scanning invoices as needed.</li><li>Work closely with Compliance Director and team to ensure regulations are followed and address issues within 24 hours of occurrence.</li><li>Work with other company locations to troubleshoot issues with inventory audits and receiving as needed.</li><li>Ensure new products are ready for sale within 48 hours of receiving.</li><li>Meet with management team regularly to ensure proper follow-up on all action items.</li><li>Accountable for proper disposal of cannabis waste, both physically and systemically.</li><li>Manage and track all levels of inventory of the outlet(s) including cannabis, merchandise, shop supplies, promotional materials, and all other non-cannabis items.</li><li>Always ensure proper ambiance and cleanliness of inventory and secure storage areas.</li><li>Ensure the Urbn Leaf brand is always being properly represented.</li><li>Participate in the quarterly venue cleanings.</li><li>Abide by all policies and procedures of the company.</li><li>Walk the venue on a regular basis to ensure the facility is properly maintained and address and report any issues promptly to the facilities team.</li><li>Intimately understand state and local cannabis regulations to maintain compliance of the venue.</li><li>Inform employees of new products, and assist in the making of the displays for new products.</li><li>Account for all non-cannabis items.</li><li>Create/update logs for efficient systems within inventory.</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications: </b></p><ul><li>At least three years of inventory management experience in a high-volume environment, with knowledge of cannabis and cannabis products; or one year of inventory management in a high-volume cannabis retailer.</li><li>ERP system experience required.
