Job Summary:

The Inventory Control Manager will ensure that all cannabis inventory items are properly identified and readily accessible in accordance with the organization’s inventory cycle. They will monitor all aspects of inventory processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and productivity. This role will also be responsible for upkeeping our inventory compliance needs via overseeing all inventory movement in the METRC track-and-trace system. This individual will also play a critical role in transitioning and managing all inventory features into our soon to be implemented ERP system.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems
  • Direct and coordinate physical inventory, including auditing and monitoring cycle counts
  • Oversees stock item master, identifying incorrect descriptions and stock numbers
  • Oversees METRC inventory and materials movement on a day to day basis to ensure facility compliance
  • Regulate and manage the facility’s shrinkage rate, including checking the store’s loss/expired products on a monthly basis
  • Leading the inventory management team to ensure they complete their duties in a timely and efficient manner
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with the operations team, logistics team, and allocation team with a direct line to the accounting team
  • Administer and maintain monthly cycle count program, analyze results, investigate variances and recommend process improvements to improve accuracy
  • Create, maintain, and distribute inventory reports to management on a daily, weekly and monthly basis

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
  • Thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures
  • Experience using or implementing an ERP system
  • High level of expertise in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and other relevant database software

Education and Experience:

  • Three to five years of experience in related area required
  • At least one year of supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience in a compliance or regulation heavy environment preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
