Do you have an interest in the exciting Gaming industry in Alberta and want to learn more? If so, you should apply! The Gaming Branch is looking for a collaborative and skilled individual to join our Technical Training team.</p><p>This training position will work closely with the training team to develop, deliver and evaluate technical training programs for 130 technicians all over the province on detailed aspects of the hardware and software for slot machines, VLT’s, Lottery Ticket Machines and ticket redemption kiosks. This will include delivering individual and group training using a variety of methods including instructor-led, electronic/web-based and multimedia training methods. The Technical Trainer will customize module information to accommodate individuals/ group needs and will be the key point of contact for inquiries and concerns pertaining to the information and materials provided in the training modules. This position will also assist with developing curriculum and learning plans for Field Technicians in the casinos and in the distributed networks as well as providing a training perspective on AGLC projects/teams.</p><p>To be successful in this role you must have strong attention to detail and analytical skills to evaluate technical training materials and module sessions for quality assurance. You also need to be an expert in adult learning principles and be able to apply best practices in the training industry. The Technical Trainer must be able to conduct and manage any training environment in a professional and appropriate manner, whether it is being conducted virtually or as an “in class” session. You will need to be able to work independently and maintain strong time management skills in order to effectively prioritize tasks in a complex environment. The successful candidate will need to liaise with the Gaming Products areas to provide support in the evaluation of gaming products to ensure integrity, reliability, playability and security as well as incorporate the training needs for new products into the training program.
