About This Role

Every position at Common Citizen from seed to sale, is contributing to our mission to serve our fellow citizens of Michigan with the highest quality, safest cannabis product through our highly individualized and education-oriented provisioning centers. The HR Administrator will focus on maintaining data and information related to people information. This role will be supporting all functions within human resources and will be responsible for maintaining information and ensuring our processes are operating as designed.

Responsibilities

Outlined below is what we see you doing at this point in time. We are a fast-growing company looking for people that are excited to grow along with us. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Organize and maintain personnel records
  • Update internal databases (i.e. time keeping, data management in HRIS, benefits portal)
  • Assist leaders in tracking attendance and providing support
  • Create regular reports and presentations on HR metrics (i.e. turnover rates, overtime reports, absenteeism rate)
  • Answer Citizens questions about HR-related policies
  • Maintain standard work documents, HR forms and HR process
  • Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information (i.e. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules)
  • Assist with benefit administration (i.e. health and welfare, 401k)
  • Participate in HR projects (i.e. help organize a job fair event, open enrollment)

The Experience You Bring and the Skills we Need:

  • Proven work experience as an HR Administrator, HR Administrative Assistant or relevant role
  • Experience with HR software, like HRIS or HRMS
  • Computer literacy including Excel (MS Office applications, in particular)
  • Thorough knowledge of labor laws
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
  • Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills
  • BS in Human Resources or 2-3 years relevant experience

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit for long periods of time
  • Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to stand and walk.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

We also operate an additional \"Cannabis &amp; Glass\" location in Oregon, and a medical cannabidiol dispensary in Iowa (“Iowa Cannabis Co.”).</p><p><b>OVERVIEW:</b></p><p>C&amp;G Management is searching for a Human Resources Administrator to join our team!</p><p>The Human Resources Administrator will provide professional level human resource services to employees on a wide variety of sensitive, complex and critical human resources issues. Keen attention to detail, the ability to read, interpret, and apply state and federal law, and company policy will be essential as they help educate and explain HR issues to employees.</p><p>This position is based in Spokane Valley, but may require travel occasionally throughout Spokane. Out of market candidates are encouraged to apply, but we are not currently offering relocation assistance at this time.</p><p><b>RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p><p>• Communicate cross functionally between Human Resources and other departments within the company including but not limited to Retail Operations and Corporate Operations</p><p>• Provide daily administrative support to Human Resources Director &amp; Talent and Acquisition Manager</p><p>• Assist with Human Resources activities to ensure legal compliance fairness and consistency</p><p>• Provide administrative support to management teams which require handling confidential data</p><p>• Respond to questions on sick leaves, vacations and other benefits for employees when appropriate</p><p>• Track personnel benefits and payroll actions for new hires, promotions, demotions, transfers, terminations, etc. into the company’s Human Resources Management system</p><p>• Consult with employees on FMLA, COBRA, employee benefit packages, and related issues</p><p>• Prepare FMLA, COBRA, and benefit plan paperwork and process the appropriate forms</p><p>• Administer benefit programs such as life, health, dental, vision, vacation, sick leave, and employee assistance</p><p>• Conduct Interviews</p><p>• Coordinate employee meetings and activities as needed</p><p>• Assist with tracking employee training</p><p>• Draft appropriate correspondence at the Human Resources Director's discretion including disciplinary actions, grievance responses, company HR announcements etc.</p><p>• Draft, review, and provide feedback on documents related to employee management including performance and development plans, expectations, job descriptions, employee handbooks, etc.</p><p>• Keep abreast of changes in all human resource related administrative policies, procedures, guidelines, and Washington State Administrative Codes (WAC’s)</p><p>• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times</p><p><b>REQUIREMENTS:</b></p><p>• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Human Resources or related field</p><p>• 1+ year in a Human Resources related role</p><p>• 1+ year in a primarily business administrative function</p><p>• Outstanding communications skills, including the capability to present information accurately and thoroughly through oral and written means</p><p>• A demonstrated history of prioritizing multiple competing priorities and successfully completing all tasks assigned on‐time</p><p>• Must possess the ability to work in a fast paced environment and have experience dealing with confidential matters</p><p>• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy</p><p>• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team</p><p>• Prior experience in benefit administration is preferred</p><p><b>COMPENSATION &amp; BENEFITS:</b></p><p>• $40,000 - $55,000 annual compensation</p><p>• 40 hour work week</p><p>• Paid Sick Leave &amp; Paid Time Off</p><p>• Health Insurance</p><p>• Dental and Vision Insurance</p><p>• Life Insurance</p><p>• Employee Assistance Program offering in-person, telephonic, texting and video counseling for help with stress, anxiety, depression, family issues, and more</p><p>• Employee Discount Program offering exclusive discounts from top national retailers</p><p>• 50% off all smokeable products</p><p>UZ4UdXehWH</p></div>","company":{"name":"Cannabis & Glass"},"location":{"country":"United States","address":"Spokane Valley, WA, USA","city":"Spokane Valley","stateProvince":"WA"},"frontendLink":"/job-posting/cannabis-and-glass/human-resources-administrator-washington-spokane-valley-wa/10fb52403caa95f880b7062ac58ff6c7","title":"Human Resources Administrator - Washington-Spokane Valley, WA","category":"Retail","hash":"10fb52403caa95f880b7062ac58ff6c7","postingUrl":"https://www.recruit.net/job/human-resources-administrator-jobs/16F47271406B6A77"}]
