Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President of HR, the HR Manager provides support to employees and managers in our PA locations and will administer a full range of HR tasks, including staffing, payroll, employee relations, benefits, onboarding, and training. The HR Manager is the first point of contact for employees addressing employee relations, payroll, and benefits questions and concerns and will ensure compliance with state and federal employment law. This position is Remote however we have 4 Locations in Western, PA which may require some travel.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide support to employees by answering questions and concerns in a professional, prompt manner
  • Perform Payroll Functions, also assisting employees with benefits enrollment and software system access
  • Provide support to new hires by managing the onboarding process ensuring a positive first week experience
  • Heavy Emphasis on Employee Relations and HR initiatives
  • Maintain a pulse on the engagement of the organization through feedback, including meetings and surveys; develops action plans based on feedback
  • Provide support and guidance to management and other staff on complex and sensitive questions and issues; execute routine and confidential tasks such as hiring, providing reasonable accommodations, conducting investigations and terminations. Assess the urgency and importance of situations and takes the appropriate action, including escalating issues as needed
  • Manage requests for leave of absence under FMLA or other state or federal leave programs, maintaining prompt response and ensuring compliant documentation
  • Work with HR leadership to analyze, develop, and maximize performance management programs to align with strategic goals, including goal setting, identifying opportunities for upskilling, and ensuring uniform application of rating system
  • Assist HR leadership with developing, evaluating, and communicating policy changes

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least 5 years of experience as an HR generalist with some HR manager experience
  • HRCI-PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment; demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule with some evening and weekend hours required


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for at least 8 hours
  • Close visual acuity needed for viewing screens and fine print
  • Manual dexterity needed for frequent correspondence and data entry

The Territory Manager will be responsible for expanding established markets and developing new ones by introducing the brand to retailers, distributors and consumers.<br />As a Territory Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales performance by managing sales, retail execution, operations and key relationships at Wholesaler(s) in an assigned geographic area.<br /><br />Responsibilities<br /><ul><li>Drive sales and distribution within account universe</li><li>Identify and pursue new points of distribution for brand growth, leading effective</li><li>collaboration, and engagement with local distributor sales force to drive sales volume and</li><li>increase market penetration in defined territories.</li><li>Support local distributor with trainings, development, and retail integration</li><li>Build relationships with accounts and be the face of the brand</li><li>Implement sales and merchandising materials needed for accounts</li><li>Work on the creation and deployment of POS and merchandising tools, in-store sampling programs and analyzing the performance of these initiatives.</li><li>Support the development of a channel strategy; leveraging the strengths of each channel to grow velocities, trial, and education.</li><li>Coordinate with Field Activation Manager (FAM) to execute retail and consumer engagement sampling events</li><li>Identify and execute in-market sponsorship and sampling events at relevant venues (youth sports, health/fitness events, points of sweat)</li><li>Oversee activations with alliance partners</li><li>Provide local market insights and best practices</li><li>Regular submission and tracking of day-to-day activities in designated platform</li><li>Manage informational requests and recap key takeaways for management reporting</li><li>Travel within assigned market for account, client, and activation visits</li><li>Manage budgets, tactical resources, and tools to maximize returns throughout the year</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>Experience<br /><ul><li>3-5 years related industry or sales experience including relevant trade marketing and retail execution experience with a proven track record of success in the NA beverage space</li><li>Knowledge of food &amp; beverage or consumer goods distribution industry preferred</li><li>Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills with strong attention to detail.</li><li>Capable of working in a highly dynamic team environment and welcomes collaboration.</li><li>Strong communication skills both written and verbal.</li><li>Local travel 25% including night and weekend work</li><li>In-depth understanding of the US retail environment</li><li>Familiarity with local market trendsetting accounts</li><li>Enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, self-disciplined, and driven team player with the ability to solve problems, take initiative, think innovatively, and make fast paced decisions with a degree of autonomy</li><li>Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint</li></ul>Biosteel Must-Haves<br /><ul><li>Passion for health and wellness and/or sports</li><li>Desire to live a healthy lifestyle and represent the BioSteel brand out of the office</li><li>An ownership mentality and a willingness to embrace a high-growth culture focused on achieving significant growth milestones</li><li>Strong, direct communication skills and a willingness to speak up amongst colleagues across all levels of the Company</li><li>Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism and representing the BioSteel brand to external customers and vendors</li><li>A problem-solving mentality and a desire to put in the extra effort and hours required to solve complex problems that you will be tasked with</li></ul>Other Details<br />These are full-time positions based out of Orange County, Houston, San Antonio/Austin, Nashville, Minneapolis, Orlando, Tampa Bay, Washington, Boston and New York City<br /><br />We appreciate the interest from all candidates, and promise to review all applications, but we will only be contacting those who best fit the requirements.
