Sr Data Engineer - Data Services & Enterprise Data Warehouse

Overview:

Weedmaps is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help architect, design, build and maintain our data platform. You'll be joining our Data Engineering team where you'll play a key role in driving engineering excellence in support of our business goals.

The impact you'll make:

• Develop and maintain ETL data pipelines, integrating a wide range of data sources to support business applications and internal analytics needs.

• Create repeatable solution patterns and standards for relevant data management capabilities to ensure data consistency and accuracy, while maintaining SLA requirements.

• Perform technology and product assessments to drive required infrastructure needs to meet scalability, availability, security and concurrency needs.

• Cross team collaboration with Product, Analytics and Engineering teams, participate in all phases of SDLC - product requirement gathering, design, development and support.

What you've accomplished:

• 6-10+ years of Data/Software Engineering

• Strong knowledge of data warehousing and Datamodelling concepts.

• Experience building data integration pipelines, familiarity with ETL, ELT, Change Data Capture (CDC), Streaming and other data processing patterns.

• Experience with Airflow or similar workflow management solutions.

• Coding proficiency in at least one modern programming language, Python preferred.

• Experience with AWS, solid understanding of data services offered and ability to recommend cost effective solutions in and out of the box

• Strong knowledge of various relational and non-relational database systems (Postgres, ElasticSearch, Redshift, MongoDB, etc), experience with structured and semi structured data.

• Experience with streams and event driven patterns is a plus.

• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Work successfully alongside other department Team Members</p><p><b>Schedule:</b></p><p>Wednesday through Saturday from 5:00am - 3:30pmFollow NETA Policies &amp; Procedures for the daily operations and fully comply with state medical and adult use marijuana regulations</p><p>Efficiently operate a dishwasher while complying with safety standards</p><p>Clean and dry Cultivation tools, irrigation parts (i.e. floraflex caps, tray plugs, clips &amp; weights, etc.) and Harvest tools (shears, tubs, trim bins, etc.)Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing Grow Rooms. Areas include CNV &amp; Flower, Mezz NV &amp; Flower.</p><p>Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the Harvest/Trim RoomDismantles, cleans, sanitizes, and reassembles machinery in production areas while following safety and security guidelines (wall &amp; floor fans, and air filtration units)</p><p>Responsible for collecting, weighing, shredding, and disposing of all Marijuana Waste in the facility.</p><p>Operating machinery, such as the MJ Waste shredder and trash compactor</p><p>Communicate with Environmental Services, Cultivation, IPM &amp; Trim staff members; ensure all equipment is clean and sanitized in a timely manner to promote an increase in efficiency, while keeping digital cleaning &amp; sanitation logs in compliance with state regulations</p><p>Safely uses and stores cleaning materials at all times, ensuring they are labeled correctly</p><p>Monitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created</p><p>Knowledge of chemical use.
