As an HR Coordinator you will provide administrative support to the HR Team to facilitate the operational functions of the Human Resources Department. You will also be responsible for answering employee questions and assisting in the areas of benefit administration, onboarding new hires, office services and various tasks.

Duties

• Provide administrative support on a range of Human Resources issues, procedures and policies consistent with employee standards, legislation and guidelines.

• Work with the HR team members to ensure effective meeting of organization and department objectives through collaboration, openness and personal development.

• Ensure all US and Canadian employee documents, forms, and data for record keeping are collected in a timely manner and stored in accordance with privacy standards.

• Provide onboarding support by assisting with organization of first day schedules, preparing new hire packets and workspaces prior to arrival (east coast hires), welcoming new employees on the first day, conducting orientations, updating employee trackers.

• Provide benefits administration support by verifying new hires have been properly enrolled in benefits, processing monthly invoices from benefit vendors, maintain company records of benefit enrollments to ensure accurate bill reconciliation, monitor file feeds between HRIS and vendors.

• Maintain Transit benefits system, including adding new hires to the WageWorks system and communicating enrollment details, auditing personal details, removing terminated employees.

• Provide recruitment support by assisting as necessary with Intern Programming.

• Handle HR administration duties such as filing, mailing, expense reports, and personnel file maintenance.

• Assist the office services team in New York as necessary, including providing backup reception coverage, event planning, and maintaining a professional and tidy office environment.

• Assist HR Department as necessary with special projects or tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in HR Business Administration and/or 1+ years HR generalist experience.

• Excellent customer service skills a must with a proven ability of building good interpersonal relationships with people across the organization.

• Working knowledge of navigating and utilizing HRIS applications as well as best practices for personnel data record keeping.

• Must be extremely detailed oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines.

• Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to work independently to resolve issues.
