DIRECTOR, HR BUSINESS PARTNER – CORPORATE

We're looking for an exciting, dynamic, and culture/purpose driven Director, HR Business Partner to join the A-team, supporting our Corporate Functions on a 12-month contract role. As a leader in your field, you're passionate about the end-to-end employee experience and creating strategies that enable talent to achieve their goals and career paths. You're an experienced generalist who can build strategy and roll up your sleeves to get things done. You have experience in both the strategic creation and the execution of performance management programs. You also excel in organizational effectiveness initiatives, M&A, talent development, and building Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion into the DNA of an organization. You're a true partner to the business and understand how to drive results through human capital strategies, and can also serve as a trusted coach and advisor to leaders and employees. As a people leader, you have a proven track record in developing HR talent and operating as a leader not just with your direct reports, but across the HR function and the broader organization.

This role reports to the Executive Vice President, Human Resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:

• Lead the HR Strategy for the Corporate functions across Aurora Canada and serve as a trusted advisor to client groups

• Held develop and execute our employee engagement strategy enhancing the end-to-end employee experience

• Assess, plan, identify and implement employee development strategies for all levels of the organization

• Drive organizational change initiatives

• Lead training programs and assist in content development

• Support leaders with Talent Acquisition and recruitment

• Oversee Leadership development initiatives, talent management and succession planning and employee development.

• Lead the Annual Performance Management cycle for client groups

• Support M&A activities including helping with due diligence and integrations

• Support leaders in Employee Relations matters as well as Performance Improvement

• Serve as an empowering people leader to your team, focusing on talent development and helping grow and develop to achieve their career goals

• Diagnose HR opportunities and develop innovative solutions

• Provide recommendations on annual compensation and benefit changes.

• Collaborate on culture and engagement initiatives for the organization

• Review and develop HR policies/procedures on an ongoing basis

• Use information and analysis to support organizational decision making related to people practices

Candidate Requirements:

• University Degree and 10 or more years directly related experience

• Experienced HR leader who can demonstrate relationship management breadth and influence in leading, planning and executing complex/strategic initiatives

• Comprehensive knowledge of current HR issues and trends

• Proven track record of developing and executing successful talent and engagement strategies

• Diverse functional HR expertise

• Excellent change management skills and ability to navigate leaders and employees through change initiatives

• High sense of urgency and ability to execute

• Broad knowledge of Canadian HR legislation and compliance requirements

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

• Highly organized with an ability to prioritize and multi-task

• Critical and analytical thinking

• A track record of developing high performing teams/employees

You can confidently advise the business leaders by collecting and compiling applicable information especially as it relates to formal investigation process.</p><p>• Employment Law and Leave Policies/Administration: Well-versed in federal and state employment law and fluent in leave policies and administration for our employees and liaising with our Total Rewards and Employee Relations team.
