The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Office Administration and Space Planning, the Supervisor, Office Services (CAN) is an individual who thrives in an ever-changing and sometimes chaotic environment. If you are a master of organization, have a great ability to problem solve and can multi-task in your sleep, this is the role for you! You will develop strategies to meet office services needs for our Canadian locations.
Responsibilities
  • Manage Office Services Coordinators in Canada (Smiths Falls, Kanata, Montreal and Toronto)
  • Manage employee schedules to ensure sufficient coverage
  • Maintain Office Services staffing requirements by recruiting and training employees
  • Track and approve vacation and sick time
  • Support company events alongside Human Resources – Total Rewards & Employee Experience
  • Assist Manager in achieving corporate financial objectives by aiding in preparation of an annual budget, timing expenditures to meet budget targets, analyzing variances and recommending corrective actions
  • Weekly reporting of activity and budget status to ensure financial objectives are met; includes analyzing reports; summarizing information; identifying trends
  • Responsible for service and supply ordering, inventory and budget, including but not limited to, mail/ courier service, coffee service, shredding service, office and printer supplies, office cleaning and other ongoing services as appropriate
  • Responsible for onboarding Office Services at new office and production sites in Canada
  • Oversee servicing and operation of office equipment
  • Supports the creation, documentation and implementation of Office Services policies and procedure
  • Liaise with maintenance team/landlord in support of general office maintenance
  • Liaise with Procurement for RFP’s, PO’s as require
  • Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, contractors and clients
  • Maintain continuity between teams by communicating and supporting needs
  • Maintain good vendor relationships
  • Assist with office moves and changes as required
  • Administrative support as required
  • Other duties as assigned
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years management experience in an office environment
  • Minimum 5 years space planning experience in an office environment
  • Must have excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be extremely service and detail oriented
  • Must be able to work independently
Other Details
This is a full-time position based out of Smiths Falls. This position is eligible to participate in Canopy’s Work from Home policy, both at the discretion of the hiring manager. The successful candidate will be required to work no less than one day per week at the Kanata office location and no less than two days per week at the Smiths Falls office location, specifics to be determined by the hiring manager. This requirement is subject to change at any time to align with the needs of the business.

The Administrative Lab Director will work with the VPLO to manage and maintain the implementation and use of Veda Scientific adopted support platforms including Qualtrax, QBench, METRC, ASANA, and the Veda Scientific Google Drive.</p><p>The Administrative Lab Director is additionally responsible for administering the basic management functions of personnel, planning, organizing, leading, and controlling to assist the VPLO in the successful and efficient attainment of company goals. The Administrative Lab Director will complement and work with the Technical Lab Director to develop, validate, and implement analytical test procedures. In this role, you will manage the work of the facility engineering team, as well as various contractors to successfully execute various utilities scope projects enabling our facilities to meet company and local/country codes, regulatory and safety requirements. Travel will be required with this opportunity as the candidate will be responsible for all CGC sites (Canada, USA, Europe). For sites other than Smiths Falls, an on-site engineer may be assigned as the local subject matter expert to assist with some of the key responsibilities.<br /></div><div></div><div><b>Responsibilities</b></div><ul><li>Manage all Facilities Engineering Projects</li><li>Manage Facilities Engineering resources, and project coordinators</li><li>Responsible for Engineering Service Requests assigned to Facilities supporting all other business unit’s needs</li><li>Owner of CGC internal design manual</li><li>Ensure that new building is in line with current Operational and Quality standards at CGC</li><li>Budget and Capital management for large projects</li><li>Organize stakeholders for input for future expansion and new facility/facility upgrade concepts</li><li>Develop RFP’s and construction designs with consultants that align with company goals</li><li>Provide the Procurement Team and Vendors with critical data</li><li>Complete bid evaluations, and provide technical feedback to the Consultant/OEM Vendor Selection Process</li><li>Ensure that vendors are providing the CGC team with staged design and drawing reviews throughout the project (IFR, IFC, Redline/As Builts etc.)</li><li>Ensure the right technical lead is in place throughout the entire project process for the new buildings/areas/systems</li><li>Coach FAT and SAT activities for newly purchased facilities equipment</li><li>Monitor, participate and assist in other commissioning and validation activities like IQ and first-draft SOP/WI development, where required by other engineering teams</li><li>Ensure the efficient and accurate transfer of knowledge to the facilities teams to facilitate a smooth handover</li><li>Provide design sizing that aligns production goals, cost savings, and space constraints within the production facility</li><li>Ensure executions meet all local/country codes, environmental, regulatory and safety requirements compliance</li><li>Manages performance and personal development of facilities engineering team</li><li>Provide mentorship and guidance to other engineers</li></ul><div><b>Experience</b></div><ul><li>5+ years min of engineering experience</li><li>Post Secondary Diploma / Degree in an Engineering field</li><li>Facilities, Process Flow, and systems experience is considered an asset</li><li>Professional Engineering Designation is highly desirable, eligibility for professional designation required</li><li>Familiar with engineering and construction drawings, and able to provide comments or direction</li><li>Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills on projects that can span 12+ months</li><li>Work with equipment and process validation with GMP validation experience is considered an asset</li><li>The ability to work with large, cross-functional teams that are composed mid to senior level team members</li><li>Must have excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe</li><li>Excellent communication skills both verbal and written</li><li>Accuracy and attention to detail while working under tight deadlines</li><li>Ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects and work in a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities</li><li>Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills</li><li>High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts</li><li>Technical writing experience</li></ul><div><b>Other Details<br /></b><br /></div><div>This is a full-time role that could be based out of the US or Canada.<br /></div><div></div><br /><div>Canopy Growth offers a wide range of benefits for employees in the United States including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401k plan, and paid time off.<br /></div><div></div><br /><div>Pay range: $96,000 - $117,00 USD per year, with bonus potential; commensurate with experience, specific to Colorado.</div></div><div><p>We appreciate the interest from all candidates, and promise to review all applications, but we will only be contacting those who best fit the requirements.
