Core Duties:

The role of the HR Administrator is to provide support to ensure efficient operation of all HR functions. Supports managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures. Ability to effectively communicate via phone and email ensuring that all HR Administrative duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.

Principal Responsibilities:

· Supporting all aspects of administrative operations, payroll and Human Resources

· Assisting with employee reporting as necessary

· On and off cycle Payroll processing

· Draft correspondence and other formal documents

· Plan and schedule appointments and events

· Answer inbound telephone calls

· Develop and implement organized filing systems

· Assist with all other office tasks

· Other duties as assigned by management

· Oversee the Diversity & Inclusion Program

· Participate on the Diversity Committee

· Assist with termination and disciplinary process

· Recruit and onboard all employees across verticals

· Provide comprehensive reporting on employee statistical data

· Provide guidance on behavioural issues and conflict resolution

· Establish employee training program

· Assist in conducting investigations

· Maintain confidentiality of company and employee data

· Assist and support CCC state and federal compliance

· Manage the employee onboarding process

· Manage the employee benefits process

· Manage al aspects of the employee life cycle

Essential Work Experience and Qualifications:

· 1-3 years of HR and office management experience

· SHRM or HRCI certification a plus

· Experience working in a growing start up environment strongly preferred

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Excellent verbal & written skills

· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

· Experience in a manufacturing setting

· Experience in HR knowledge and regulatory practices

· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines

· Manage annual & monthly reporting for EEO, ACA, training programs, Diversity and Positive Impact criteria

· Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time

· Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office Suite

· Must be able to meet all shift requirements with regularity, predictability and consistency

· Must be willing to update skills and necessary training for HR functions as well as be interested in the professional HR certification path.

Physical Requirements:

· Long periods of prolonged standing and sitting while maintaining focus

· Office environment with exposure to light manufacturing and farming

· Equipment/materials exposure will include, but not be limited to computer, printers, toner, occasional production equipment, point of sale, cannabis

· Must be 21 years or older

· Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance) and must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with plants and products

The Test Engineer will conduct themselves with the highest levels of professionalism, quality and attention to detail.<br /><br />Responsibilities<br /><ul><li>Work closely with the R&amp;D team in Kanata to understand the various vaporizer products being developed.</li><li>Participate in the specification and design process for new products.</li><li>Provide feedback to the group regarding test techniques and results to allow them to integrate this knowledge into new designs.</li><li>Research and understand various oil extraction techniques being used at the Smith Falls production facility</li><li>Research and understand how oil products will be used in various vaporizer products</li><li>Research and understand various oil compositions, extraction products and how these oils will affect the optimum performance of various vaporizer products.</li><li>Work to develop test and quality assurance procedures to evaluate cannabis oils in various vaporizer products</li><li>Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and ACMPR.</li><li>Keep up to date with relevant scientific and technical development.</li><li>Conduct testing in Smith Falls production facility to characterize vaporizer products and effectiveness with extracted oils</li><li>Record all data and results in specified forms with accuracy and on time.</li><li>Maintain and monitor equipment as necessary to ensure continued accuracy.</li><li>Maintain a clean and orderly, GMP compliant workspace; and</li></ul>Experience<br /><ul><li>Experience using analytical chemistry equipment such as mass spectrometers (GC/MS, ICP/MS, HPLC) or a willingness and ability to learn.</li><li>Solid understanding of the engineering design process and the scientific process and its application</li><li>Familiarity with cannabis industry, policies and ACMPR regulations considered a strong asset;</li><li>Knowledge and experience with cannabis extraction processes considered an asset;</li><li>Understanding of cannabis distillation processes preferred, but not required;</li><li>Proficient computer skills including MS Office.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills;</li><li>Strong math and statistical skills;</li><li>Strong engineering skills, design, development and production experience in mechanical or electrical engineering</li><li>Good communication, oral and written, and accurate reporting skills.</li><li>Must have a strong work ethic and ability to work well on a team.</li><li>Must be able to keep confidentiality and proprietary information secure</li><li>Capable of thinking analytically and troubleshoot experiments;</li><li>Effectively operate industrial equipment, manipulate valves and use various tool;</li><li>Ability to lift 50 lbs</li><li>Must be authorized to work in Canada.</li><li>Must be able to pass a background check.</li><li>Must have a reliable form of transportation.</li></ul>Other Details<br /><br />This is a full-time position based out of Kanata but will require frequent travel to the Canopy production and test facility in Smith Falls.<br /><br />We appreciate the interest from all candidates, and promise to review all applications, but we will only be contacting those who best fit the requirements.
