Apply Now Copy link

Welcome to Boondom - where we take care of our own! Boondom is a cannabis retail concept headquartered in Windsor Ontario and we are continuing our expansion in the area. Our core purpose at Boondom is

to create opportunity for all within our community

. This is a lofty goal and we are looking for the right team that will help us reach it!

Company

At Boondom, our vision is to be

the store that everyone wants next door.

Right now, the stigma of the legacy market is still prevalent. Our goal is to be so welcoming, so customer focused, have a store experience so familiar, that everyone wants us next door.

In order to achieve this, we need folks who believe in our core values:

Embrace @*&%ing-up

The cannabis industry is new for everyone. We will all make mistakes; learn from them and help one another be better.

Give it your all

In smaller Ontario towns, many of us grew up in farming families where everyone was committed to the lifestyle. We learned to embrace our work, work hard own our part of it and enjoy the rewards.

Build the Boonie Union

Our customers will show us the way. Each time someone visits the store, it’s an opportunity to learn more about the cannabis consumer. We will obsess over understanding why they walked into our store, why they bought the product they did and how we can serve them better the next time.

Shovel grandma's driveway

Be trustworthy and kind to customers and colleagues. Customers may not always feel comfortable. It is our job to help them trust that they can share their needs and to be kind to them with how we guide their experience. Same goes with our work relationships. By building close ties with our colleagues and treating them with kindness, we will keep the team tight.

Embrace the mohawk

Cannabis users come in all forms. We accept whoever comes in the store. We accept employees, partners and customers for who they are and embrace their differences.

Position Overview

As you can tell, we do things a little different around here and that is the point! We want retail staff who will live and breathe our values every day. We are hiring full time customer service staff. These staff will be our ride or die. You will be the face of the store to our customer, so to us, you are the most important hire we make.

Responsibilities:

• Help guide customers through their cannabis journey using our values as your guiding principles

• Process sales

• Open/close the store as required

• Attend training events to help build your cannabis knowledge to better serve our customers

• Attend weekly customer feedback sessions - where we learn from our staff to better understand our customer

• Clean the store as part of opening and closing duties

• Periodically meet with management and fellow staff to help build camaraderie (this may or may not be over beer).

Skills Required

• 2+ years experience in a customer service retail role (no cannabis retail or personal experience needed)

• Cansell Basic Certification required (if you don't have it now, no sweat, but must be completed prior to hire)

• A connection to our purpose, mission and values

• A genuine interest in the cannabis industry and desire to learn its quirks

• An outgoing, fun, kind personality

• A need for continuous improvement and thriving in times of change

If this sounds like you and you are interested in growing with a local company, please apply with your resume below.

Compensation

$37,500.00
