General Description

• The Head of Security is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the staff, guests, vendors, and the entire premises of the Retail Dispensary. We are looking for a professional/experienced security guard who will be able to lead and manage other security personnel at the dispensary.


• Physically monitor the perimeter to ensure all visitors are aware of dispensary policy regarding use of product on the property.

• Monitoring security cameras to detect any potential threats or criminal activity, and ensure cameras are operating as expected.

• In the event of unusually heavy customer flow, we must be prepared to keep the parking lot under control and any crowd control issues.

• Monitor building access and compliance throughout hours of operation and respond according to planned strategies.

• Secures premise and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting building, equipment, and access points, and supervising product deliveries to the dispensary.

• Enforcing order, safety, and security within the dispensary at all times.

• Reporting any security issues to dispensary management when necessary.

• Developing/implementing standard operating procedures specific to safety and security.

Research and Extension programs that enhance economic profitability and sustainability of crop and livestock production systems and environmental stewardship in the Commonwealth of Virginia and beyond are essential.
