Director of Cultivation Operations

Our client, a Cannabis operator in Michigan, is seeking a Director of Cultivation to oversee all of their growing operations, outdoor and indoor, as well as manage all Cultivation employees.

The Director of Cultivation responsibilities will include the oversight of the organizations practices and procedures, and management of vendors and community outreach. Our client currently cultivates both outdoor and greenhouse.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage day to day operations of outdoor and indoor/Greenhouse cultivation operations
  • Work closely with other directors and provide regular reports to the appropriate executives
  • Ensure compliance of all Cultivation operations and that staff adheres to policies
  • Evaluate and refine SOP's as needed
  • Oversight of design, construction and management of new facilities
  • Advanced knowledge of propagation cultivation, including greenhouse operations, HVAC, computer control systems, and horticultural lighting systems.
  • Hire and supervise cultivation staff, including establishing work schedules, assigning tasks and responsibilities, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Manage quality assurance program/systems.
  • Develop and maintain a plant genetic "bank" needed to manufacture the companys brands.
  • Accountable for PL responsibility over the cultivation operation
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors in Horticulture or related field preferred
  • Proven experience managing large scale Cannabis operations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in hiring, training and management
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast paced environments
  • Proven experience constructing Cultivation Facilities
Compensation: $150k +
