Our client is looking for a Head Grower. We are hiring for multiple locations throughout Michigan. This position would be for an Outdoor Grow Facility. Head Grower manages the operations and functions of the outdoor farm. Ensuring plants are healthy, irrigation is set up, and ultimately reducing plant loss.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cannabis crops & help develop cultivation plans and duties.

• Organize and document the daily process of transplanting, cloning, defoliation and trimming of plants.

• Ensure that growth requirements of cannabis plants are consistently met (lighting, soil PH, nutrients, etc.).

• Apply outdoor farming methods that increase company yields.

• Diagnose and resolve plant health issues like mold, mildew, and other IPM functions.

• Ensure legal compliance of all cultivation procedures.

• Manage inventory and budgets related to marijuana farming (including equipment, security, and HVAC systems).

• Supervise and coach employees who tend to the plants

• Inspect quality of harvest.

Experience

• 3 years of Commercial Cannabis experience

• 2 years of experience as a Lead/Manager

• Strong counting, tracking, and inventory management skills

• Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

• Extensive knowledge of plant genetics, propagation, and common diseases

• Extensive knowledge of the cannabis industry and the associated federal, state, and local municipal laws and regulations

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work with a diverse team

• Must follow all rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in accordance with the company's mission, vision, goals, and objective

• Knowledge of IPM

• Must be 21 years of age

• Subject to background check due to cannabis regulations
