High Tide is seeking a business and people-centric individual to play a strategic role in all major business integration initiatives.

What You Will Do

Supporting High Tide in delivering value from Merger/Acquisitions transactions, by playing a leading role in engaging teams, providing support in

· Delivering rapid impact assessments on a project basis

· Providing function-specific advice on key separation and integration challenges, developing workflow efficiencies in the absence of M/A initiatives

· Identifying and quantifying the operational impact from merging and carving out businesses, identifying redundancies, and suggesting work process improvements. Working with key stakeholders to design the path forward before and after the close of the deal on M/As. Identify redundancies across the organization

· Full evaluation of human & technical resources and provide recommendations to tighten or strengthen a particular department

· Continue to assess & optimize redundancies as we acquire new businesses.

· Project management in all current M&A initiatives.

· Gain thorough knowledge of High Tide’s current state by understanding the reasoning’s behind integration and or separation along with business strategy, forecast, financial history, Organizational Design, and challenges

· Interacting and communicating effectively with senior executives, directors, including Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers, and Chief Operating Officers, and working closely with senior department heads.

· Pro-actively conduct financial and non-financial due diligence to facilitate integration or separation processes

· Partner with internal and external senior Leadership teams to create business development initiatives, proposals, project deliverables, and set realistic timelines

· Proactively identify potential hurdles by providing alternate solutions or remediation services genuinely based on the client’s interest.

· Identify and recommend new capability requirements and solution options for implementation in business processes.

· Participate in the development of business integration methodologies and engage in knowledge transfer from acquisitions and add value to the existing knowledge base.

· Provide expert advice to support more streamlined processes

· Build positive relationships by developing an understanding of business and deliverable needs.

· Liaise with staff at all levels of the organization

· Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring To The Role

The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes

· 5+ years of management consulting, corporate development, or other strategy experience with emphasis on post-transaction activities like M&A integration, implementing partnerships, etc

· Strong understanding of mergers & acquisitions, go to market and data-driven integration concepts

· Strong communication with the ability to thoughtfully present, handle inevitable objections, inspire trust and generate project enthusiasm

· Team player, flexible, adaptable, and willing to contribute wherever required in a small team environment

· A high degree of professionalism and a strong level of comfort interacting with Canada/US-based C-level executives and clients

· Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams

· A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Economics, Communications or a related field - MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent qualification

  • Preparing reports, presentations, including options, recommendations, implementation plans, designs, strategies, and change-management options etc.
