JOB SUMMARY* The Post-Harvest Trimmer will be responsible for completing tasks associated with the harvesting and finishing of cannabis plants, with a primary emphasis on trimming the final product. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * * Hand trim product in accordance with Harvest standard operating procedures. * Notify manager of quality control issues identified during the trimming process. * Handle plants in accordance with standard operating procedures including GMP standards. * Responsible for executing assigned tasks, projects, and expectations of the post-harvest department in accordance with our mission, vision, goals, and objectives. * Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork. * Participate in assigned education and professional development requirements. * Maintain accurate documentation of executed tasks. * Maintain a level of cleanliness and organization. * Ensure no product leaves the facility without authorization by management. * Follow all safety regulations set by supervisors. * Ensure consistent quality. * Additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS * REQUIRED * Ability to work in an exceedingly fast-paced environment. * Ability to manage high stress, high urgency situations and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it. * Must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking for long durations. * Self-motivated, committed, and ambitious. * Must have the ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds. * General tool, hardware, ladder, and building skills. Must be able to use a 12' extension ladder. * Working safely in a warehouse setting. * Ability to multi-task. * Remain compliant with all legal or company regulations. * Ability to communicate through various formats including email and phone. * At least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US. * Proper employment documentation. * Reliable transportation and valid driver's license. * If necessary, ability to work 7 days per week and to be flexible with schedule. * Computer skills and ability to learn new software programs. * Environmental requirements and exposure: * Exposure to fertilizer, dusts, odors, extreme high heat, extreme low temperature, high and low humidity, high noise levels, vibrations, water, dry salts, allergens, pollen, dust, plant pathogens, other volatile organic compounds, and other environmental variables DESIRABLE * Experience and knowledge in horticulture and/or agriculture. * Previous manufacturing/ laborer experience. * Ability to trim at least 125 grams per hour with continued improvement over time. * 6 months trimming experience, preferred. Follow us on LinkedIn.</p><p><b>ROLE SUMMARY</b></p><p>The Cultivation Technician is responsible for contributing to plant production, including trimming, transplanting, harvesting, processing, and routine sanitation tasks. This position is self-sufficient, focused on obtaining results and requires the ability to solve problems with minimal supervision. You are responsible for completing the assigned tasks and maintaining the plants according to the provided company guidelines and standards.</p><p><b>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p><ul><li>Transplant, Trellising, Staking, Harvest, Processing, and Cultivation Sanitation.</li></ul><ul><li>Responsible for defoliation techniques, such as veg trimming, lolli popping, maintenance, and harvest trimming.</li></ul><ul><li>Examine plants for signs of pests or diseases.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain plant health throughout the cultivation process.</li></ul><ul><li>Assist in production processes for designated stages of plant growth.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and sterility inside the production area, all staging areas and facility at all times, including routine cleaning and sterilization of equipment and infrastructure</li></ul><ul><li>Take instruction and assist with tasks delegated by the management team.</li></ul><ul><li>Use, maintain and operate equipment in the grow facility.</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure the daily compliance policies are followed, but not limited to compliance with the state, security protocols, access protocols, and dress code.</li></ul><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE</b></p><ul><li><b>Operate with integrity and honesty.</b></li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work both in a team and independently.</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to sit, stand for a long time, walk during the scheduled shift.</li></ul><ul><li>Capable of frequent and repetitive hand movements</li></ul><p><b>SKILLS/INTERESTS</b></p><p>Must be a multitasker, with the ability to work on several requests simultaneously without losing focus.<br />Organization, good communications skills, proactive, problem-solving, time management, discretion, and confidentiality are essential attributes.<br />Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.<br />The employee will be trained to identify various problems with any strain/product in order to communicate with direct supervisors as necessary.<br />Teamwork- collaborating with others to improve overall standards of work.</p><p><b>WORK ENVIRONMENT</b></p><p>This job operates in a standard greenhouse and outside environment; regular exposure to working in confined areas, hazardous chemicals, dirt, dust, noise, fumes, and vapors; exposed to regular temperature and climate changes; extreme cold; extreme heat. Seasonally subjected to adverse weather conditions when performing outdoor tasks. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Working alongside the Harvest Supervisor, this role is also responsible for accurately and efficiently inputting product weight data for inventory and record-keeping.</div>What can you expect to do:<ul><li>Support &amp; assist with trimming activities; supervise Trimming staff in absence of Harvest Supervisor.</li><li>Provide trimmers cannabis plants to trim, collect waste and finished product to be weighed.</li><li>Provide trimmers tools and PPE as required.</li><li>Prepare the trimming room for trimming shifts and assist with closing duties at end of shifts.</li><li>Maintain high levels of cleanliness inside production areas; must ensure Trim Room &amp; Drying</li><li>Room and all related equipment are sanitized in accordance with SOPs</li><li>Accurately weigh and record product weights.</li><li>Communicate effectively with other department managers, supervisors and employees to ensure timely resolution of problems and accomplishments of cultivation department and company objectives.</li><li>Ensure safe work conditions and practices within the trim room. Enforce company Health and Safety policies.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>What we are looking for :<ul><li>Minimum two years of experience in data entry with sensitive information, computer skills and strong suit with numbers and control.</li><li>Previously demonstrated ability to stay organized and follow standard operating procedures to ensure consistency of product.</li><li>Experience operating within a highly regulated environment and complying with government, police, and fire regulations in a production facility.</li><li>Willingness to perform varied tasks as required.</li><li>Must be able to carry out repetitive tasks at a continuously high level of quality.</li><li>Able to work varied shifts in order to meet business requirements.</li><li>Sense of urgency and responsibility to meet delivery schedules</li><li>Demonstrated managerial experience.</li><li>Must demonstrate attention to detail.</li></ul><div>Job requires long shifts and irregular hours including weekends.
