The Cultivation Lead (Outdoor) will report to the Master Grower and designated management as required and will be responsible for overseeing all cultivation, harvest, and maintenance related activities as well as farm cleanup and general outdoor field maintenance. You will work varying shift lengths and times averaging to a 40 hour work week.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION:

• Take direction from the Plant Manager (Master Grower) in all aspects of field and clone preparation and planting including tilling soil, removing rocks, weed control, preparing irrigation lines, laying mulch, cutting clones, maintaining clones, and transplanting newly propagated clones;

• Take direction from the Plant Manager (Master Grower) in relation to all outdoor cultivation activities and maintenance including pruning, trimming, plant training, watering, field maintenance, and pest and disease management;

• Take direction from Plant Manager (Master Grower) to help manage all aspects of cannabis harvesting, drying and packaging to ensure schedules are met, processes and resources are optimized;

• Aid in post-season clean up with activities such as ripping out plastic mulch, rolling up irrigation lines and tilling in remaining plant material, root and stalk into field;

• Keep accurate documentation and records for all cloning, planting, harvesting, drying and packaging activity;

• Clean and sterilize all equipment and grow areas according to SOPs and Cannabis regulation requirements;

• Contribute to farm maintenance and cleanliness, safety and compliance; ensure all duties are performed in accordance with Health Canada Cannabis Regulations, WorkSafeBC, SOPs, and other requirements;

• Communicate issues or deviations with management in a timely manner;

• Other general labour duties as required.

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent is considered an asset;

• Experience of Cannabis plant anatomy and strains;

• Experience in leading teams in a horticulture or cannabis industry setting preferred;

• WHMIS Certification/Training preferred;

• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation;

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time;

• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail; and

• A passion for being outdoors and working with the plants;

• Ability to work varying shifts including evenings and weekends.

The Cultivation Technician will be responsible for the daily care and focused attention necessary to produce clean, potent, safe medical cannabis for our patients.</p><p>This position reports director to the Cultivation Manager.</p><p>Highlighted</p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><p>Assist in maintaining a clean and safe working environment inside the cultivation and surrounding areas</p><p>Follow all State mandated regulations pertaining to the cultivation of cannabis operations</p><p>Develop working knowledge of all equipment within specified grow spaces including but not limited to irrigation system/components, fan operation, reading of BMS and lighting equipment.</p><p>Proper usage, maintenance, and storage of all tools and equipment, including but not limited to shop vacuums, pumps, hoses, carts, pruners, scissors, stools, gloves, rags, and personal protective equipment</p><p>Maintain effective communication with Cultivation Managers for crop needs</p><p>Be vigilant while conducting the daily inspection of plants to identify pests / disease / deficiencies / excesses, intersex traits, male flowers, abnormal growth, and report findings to Manager and Cultivation Managers.</p><p>Responsible for the daily care of crop cultural practices from seed to clone to harvest</p><p>Review and comply with all procedures and instruction checklists</p><p>Maintain accurate record of cultural practices, data collection, other crop-related logs as assigned by the Cultivation Manager and Supervisor</p><p>Learn and cross train across all cultural practices throughout each growth phase</p><p>Implement daily feeding and care schedule as directed by Cultivation Manager and Supervisor</p><p>Complete daily and periodic duties as assigned</p><p>Assist in completion of secondary cultivation labor tasks ction of the Cultivation Supervisor/Lead</p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><p>High School Diploma or equivalent.</p><p>1 year of experience in horticulture, botany, or related field preferred</p><p>Knowledge of biology and chemistry related to plant growth and nutrition</p><p>Knowledge of basic computer and office equipment operations (inventory systems;</p><p>Word;</p><p>Excel; office equipment such as copiers/telephone systems)</p><p>Work history showing progressive responsibility, willingness to accept additional projects or challenges. Cultivation Cleaning and Build Technician works closely with the Veg and Flower Supervisors, Cultivation Manager and the Director of Cultivation</p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><p>• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.</p><p>• Keeping wash stations clean and orderly</p><p>• Using proper techniques to keep drains unplugged in the wash station area floors</p><p>• Using proper techniques to clean each type of equipment including pumps, tubing, hoses and baskets</p><p>• Organization of buckets, drip tubes and all miscellaneous growing supplies</p><p>• Inform Supervisors, Cultivation Manager, or the Director of Cultivation of cleaning supply levels so that re-orders can be placed in a timely manner</p><p>• Cultivation duties as needed, such as breaking down, cleaning or re-assembling of grow rooms</p><p>• Understand and be familiar with all cultivation equipment and tools and the cleaning of all equipment and tools</p><p>• Facility maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary</p><p>• All other duties as assigned</p><p>Skills/Abilities Required</p><p>• Organization</p><p>• Close Attention to Detail</p><p>• Time Management</p><p>• Communication</p><p>• Teamwork</p><p>• Problem Solving Skills</p><p>Requirements/Preferred Experience</p><p>• Must be able to secure Nevada Agent Card Registration with the Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board</p><p>• Ability to work within a team and on an individual basis</p><p>• Familiarity with warehouse procedures</p><p>• Positive attitude and demeanor</p><p>• Works in a timely manner and strives to increase productivity</p><p>• Experience and knowledge and familiarity with Cannabis</p><p>• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)</p><p>• Must be 21 years of age or older, and be able to pass an extensive background check</p><p>• Must be authorized to work in the United States</p><p><b>Physical Requirements</b></p><p>• Ability to stand on feet or sit for extended periods of time</p><p>• Ability to have extended cannabis exposure, with no adverse physical reaction</p><p>• Ability to use repetitive use of hands, wrists and forearms</p><p>• Fine visual acuity with the ability to adjust focus to inspect closely, ability to recognize different colors.</p><p>• Normal vision or corrected by use of glasses and/or contacts for normal reading and viewing abilities to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned, or to make general observations of facilities or structures.</p><p>• Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to meet job and operate equipment requirements</p><p>• Wear provided UVA/UVB safety glasses and neck kerchiefs to protect against strong lights in growing areas</p><p>• Ability to twist, turn, bend, stand and walk as required to perform the duties associated with functioning as a dispensary manager.</p><p>• Pushing/pulling/carrying, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.</p><p>• Regular and on-time attendance</p><p>• Hours may exceed 40 hours per week.</p><p>Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.</p><p><b>Work Environment</b></p><p>Work is performed in several locations that include a cannabis cultivation and production facility and dispensaries, the working area may be odorous at times and loud due to fans and filtration systems, fluctuating between cold and warm temperatures. Involves frequent contact with staff.
