Key Responsibilities:

Scouts rooms for pest and pathogens;

Releases beneficial biologicals (insects) in grow rooms;

Applies pesticides to plants;

Attends meetings in coordination with shift leads for daily objectives and planning activities and tackle any IPM concerns;

Measures and mixes various pesticides safely and according to their labelled guidelines;

Maintains cleanliness in work areas, including grow rooms and IPM rooms;

Reads, understands, and implements SOP's and IPM guidelines and adheres to Health Canada Standards and the Cannabis Act;

Inspects and maintains IPM equipment and reports defects;

Identifies pest and other cannabis-related diseases;

May be asked to perform work outside your regular duties as directed.

Qualifications:

Ability to hold Pesticide Applicator License;

Must be capable of working with heights, completing Fall Arrest and Lift Training Courses;

Brings focus to quality and safety in the workplace;

Effortlessly takes direction and follows through on tasks;

Good communication skills both written and verbal;

Detail-Oriented with a critical Eye for troubleshooting defects;

Physical demands such as reaching, bending, walking, standing, performing repetitive work and lifting up to 50 lbs;

SHS provides integrated clinical services to address the medical needs of the individual students, as well as to foster the well-being of the students as a whole person. In addition, SHS supports the public health needs of the campus community. SHS is accredited by the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care and is fully committed to continuous quality and safety improvement through the utilization of data, outcome, and patient experience measurements.</p><p>The Lead Technician/Optician performs specialized tasks in fitting, dispensing, and adjusting eyewear (frame, lenses, and coatings) while considering a patient's prescription, occupation, lifestyle, finances, habits, facial features, and preferences. Provide the ophthalmic lab with all optical spectacle work orders. Assist in overseeing optical practice which include fitting, ordering, and dispensing glasses and contact lenses. Schedule and meet with vendor representatives to purchase, monitor, and maintain an accounting of frames, contacts, glasses, and optical supplies. Verify spectacle orders are made to specifications and meet ANSI Z80 standards.</p><p>This position provides assistance in optometry procedures: taking patient history, visual acuity, color vision, stereopsis, auto refractive error measurements, intraocular ocular pressure measurements using non contact tonometer, spectacle and contact lens measurements, contact lens training in insertion and removal and related services. Act as the clinic lead: trains new technicians on patient care and oversees clinic patient flow.
