Position Summary:

We’re hiring a temporary Distiller at our hemp processing facility. We are looking for a creative and dedicated individual who will fit with our collaborative culture. The job requires some nights and weekends. If you enjoy working with other professionals who believe in creating innovative solutions to problems, we encourage you to apply.   • Prior distiller experience

  • Highly organized

  • Knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, Smartsheets, Adobe

  • Must be able to work independently as well as with others

  • Must have excellent communication skills

  • Must be able to focus for

  • Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Must be able to work long hours in an outdoor environment

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor oil collection receiver

  • Recognize issues and report/remedy them before they cause loss of product, ie adjusting fan speed and/or cooling water pump speed

  • Assist with operating and maintaining distillation bays

  • Ensure that product is loaded smoothly from harvester to distillation tub

  • Unload spent material from distillation tub

  • Coordinate with data entry technician to record vital data, sign traceability documents, and label containers

  • Must possess basic mechanical understanding to operate and monitor tools, gauges, switches, and valves

  • Preferably able to operate basic machinery such as tractors and forklifts

  • Operate and maintain distillation bays

  • Ensure that product is loaded smoothly from harvester to distillation tub

  • Ensure proper function of steam delivery and receiving system

  • Will be responsible for the material during the run including maximizing yield, setting run time based on plant varietal and loading of distillation tub, etc.

Compensation:

Hourly compensation is $25 per hour. This position is non-exempt.
