Columbia Basin Farming is hiring a full-time, year-round HPLC Laboratory Sample Prep Technician. This is a shift position 6:00AM-6:30 PM, and 6:00PM - 6:30 AM. Salary DOE. Experience preferred, yet we will train you! Come join our pioneering team at BioScience!

Job Objective

- The Quality Assurance team is responsible for ensuring Bioscience exemplifies the highest standard in product safety and quality. Our in-house HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) laboratory is looking for a detail-oriented assistant to help prepare, organize samples from our hemp manufacturing plant.

Job Description

- Utilize lab equipment to prepare and obtain samples for analysis.

- Prepare dilutions for HPLC analysis in volumetric flasks, using accurate micro pipetting techniques.

- Maintain precise records and fully document laboratory raw data, sample tracking, and sample processing.

- Assist in preparing in-house COA documents, keeping them in order of date processed in files and documented on forms/clipboards in the lab.

- Assist Lead HPLC technician with maintaining effective inventory of laboratory consumables.

- Other job duties may be assigned by the laboratory lead.

Qualifications the Ideal Candidate would possess:

- Strong computer, scientific, and organization skills.

- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptability, and a positive attitude.

- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.

- Familiarity with various techniques for sample extraction, processing, subsampling, and generation of analytical data sets.

- Ability to develop and maintain effective and trusting work relationships.

Minimum Qualifications:

- High school Diploma or GED

- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. infrequently

- Ability to squat in front of a lab counter to make dilutions properly

- Knowledge of good laboratory practices or related experience
