Miss Jones Cannabis Outposts – Store Manager

Miss Jones is opening our Chemong Outpost and we are looking for a Store Manager to join our team. The Store Manager will assist in the launch, hiring, training and operations of our retail store in Peterborough. Key attributes of this position include setting the pace and vibe of the store, possessing a passionate and vast knowledge of the cannabis industry, ensuring strong sales performance, fostering and nurturing the team across a variety of roles and departments, including Front of House and Inventory Management. A big component of this job is reporting and financials, so proficiency with numbers and being extremely organized are a must.

THE ROLE

  • Oversee the operations of a single retail location
  • Recruit, coach and train top talent to ensure your team can educate and inform our customers
  • Work closely with the Regional Operations Manager and Director of Operations to produce business results across the board
  • Execute and lead the customer experience to produce top-performing sales
  • Maintain a clear “on brand” and well merchandised store to support the customer journey
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure the store runs smoothly
  • Conduct weekly inventory and reporting
  • Provide feedback on product trends and customer needs
  • Assist with audits and AGCO/OCS requirements
  • Manage labour, operating hours and standard operating procedures in alignment with Miss Jones cultural values
  • Adhere to and enforce loss prevention and security policies, credit policies and procedures (i.e. credit cards, discounts, employee purchases, deposit logs, return and exchange policies)
  • Create and nurture valuable relationships with the community
  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, company information, new launches, campaigns and promotions
  • Identify and communicate business needs and opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years as a store manager/general manager of a high-volume retail or restaurant operation
  • Must be CannSell Standard certified
  • Experience with inventory systems and financial reporting including P&L’s
  • Proficiency in handling and utilizing a POS system (additional training will be provided)
  • In depth knowledge/expertise of the cannabis industry is ideal
  • Experience in the hospitality industry considered an asset
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong commitment to customer service
  • Ability to work in and adapt to a highly regulated industry
  • Flexible schedule; able to work evenings, weekends and statutory holidays

NOTE: Security clearance will be required for this position. Candidate must be able to pass a criminal record check.
