Senior Software Engineer (Front End-React)

As a Front End Engineer at Weedmaps, you'll use your extensive knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to implement responsive UI's across our web applications.

We leverage modern tooling such as React, , MobX, TypeScript, styled with Styled Components and deployed using Docker + Kubernetes to deliver user experiences that work well across all screen sizes.

You'll collaborate closely with Product, Design, and QE to plan, build, test and deploy new features in an agile environment.

What you've accomplished:

• Minimum 5+ years of development experience at startup / mid-sized companies

• Effective communication skills, a positive attitude, and ability to give and receive constructive feedback

• Professional experience with React and/or other Javascript libraries

• Expertise in building responsive user-interfaces

• Possess a high level of attention to detail and aesthetic sensibilities

• Expert knowledge of modern browser technologies, cross-browser compatibility issues, and client-side performance considerations

Pluses:

• Experience implementing localization and accessibility standards

• Experience with Typescript and MobX

• Deep understanding of the GitFlow branching strategy

• Familiarity with server-side frameworks such as or Ruby on Rails

The Validation Associate reports directly to the Validation Supervisor and will work closely with the Upper QA Management Team.</p><p><b>As a Validation Associate you will: </b></p><ul><li>Develops and executes qualification Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) (IQ / OQ / PQ ) or requalification of all new or existing equipment.</li><li>Develops and executes Process Validation (PV) protocols/reports in accordance with corporate and departmental procedures.</li><li>Perform equipment risk assessments to assess impact of system functionality and control on product quality and troubleshoot equipment/system when errors occur to provide recommended corrective and/or preventive actions (CAPA) to client.</li><li>Participate on cross-functional teams to assist with Out of Specification (OOS), Deviation investigation, CAPA and Change Controls write-up.</li><li>Performs validation activities between the other Valens sites.</li><li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of validation requirements, practices, and procedures and coach other members of the team participating in validation activities.</li><li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current GPP.</li><li>Ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with the agreed scope and timelines.</li><li>Travel to other business work sites.</li><li>Other duties as assigned by Corporate Quality Management.</li></ul><p><b>As a Validation Associate you bring: </b></p><ul><li>BS or diploma in a related scientific discipline.</li><li>2-3 years of experience in Quality, Validation, or Operations in a Cannabis Industry or Related industry.</li><li>Knowledge of Cannabis Regulation and Health Canada Regulations.</li><li>Ability to occasionally travel within and outside of city to other business locations.</li><li>In-depth understanding of the application of quality systems to the pharmaceutical or cannabis industry.</li><li>Technical writing or report writing experience preferred.</li><li>Excellent communication skills at all levels both written and verbal.</li><li>Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize work load.</li><li>Effective analytical, technical, and problem solving skills.</li><li>Effective meeting and presentation skills.</li><li>Self-motivated /directed.</li><li>Able to work in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>All successful candidates are required to pass background checks.</li></ul><p><b>As a valued member of the Valens team, you will enjoy: </b></p><ul><li>Competitive total compensation and incentives</li><li>A top-notch extended benefits package including medical, vision and dental</li><li>An entrepreneurial and innovative environment that fosters growth and continuous learning</li></ul><p>We are grateful for the interest in this role from all candidates, however, we will be contacting only those that are selected for next steps in the hiring process.</p><p><b>Our Commitment to Diversity &amp; Inclusion: </b><br />The Valens Company is an equal opportunity employer.
