Job Summary

The State of Louisiana has approved medical marijuana as a form of treatment as well as symptom management for patients who suffer from one of the qualifying conditions. Patients looking to qualify need to be evaluated by a physician licensed to practice in Louisiana. We believe that medical marijuana has significant potential to improve quality of life for thousands of patients across the state of Louisiana and we are looking for compassionate, dedicated physicians to join our team! We are currently offering part-time opportunities with the potential to go full time.

Responsibilities and Duties

Conduct a physical evaluation of patients and discuss medical history.

Verify that the patient suffers from one of the qualifying conditions.

Provide a recommended treatment plan for patients who would benefit from a recommendation of medical marijuana.

Inform patients of the risks associated with medical cannabis use.

Requirements

MD or DO licensed to practice in the State of Louisiana.

The GM works closely with each Assistant General Manager (AGM) to drive the successful business management and financial performance of the dispensary.</p><p>Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To</p><p>• Hire, train, schedule and manage staff at all the dispensaries dispensary to achieve established standards, sales and profit objectives as well as customer satisfaction. Ensure that all deadlines are met and take accountability for completion.</p><p>• Drive a culture of positive employee engagement with a strong focus on inclusion &amp; diversity.</p><p>• Mentors, coaches, motivates, and develops the team through performance succession planning to ensure company’s culture and expectations are exceeded and supports employee growth.</p><p>• Ensure effective team communication is occurring by hosting monthly dispensary staff meetings, maintaining an open-door policy, and welcoming patient feedback.</p><p>• Actively manage inventory, recalls, returns, and pricing to meet cost and sales targets.</p><p>• Effectively manage cash controls and financial reporting. Ensure check register, cash outs, bank logs, inventory and deposits are accurate and executed according to TerrAscend’s standard.</p><p>• Effectively manage service labor, scheduling, and payroll budget.</p><p>• Perform business management operations and analyses such as P&amp;L; develop and review KPI reports for dispensaries to monitor opportunities and challenges with a goal to maximize revenues and profits.</p><p>• Proactively monitor dispensary profit and loss and develop effective mitigation between actual performance and company budget and projections. Work with management team to develop insight as for business decisions.</p><p>• Maintain a general awareness of cannabis and retail trends to help create innovative and adaptive strategies .
