Job Description

Experience:

3 to 5 years public accounting work experience with emphasis in auditing and 1 to 2 years planning engagements and supervising staff.

Has previous experience in cannabis, construction, manufacturing, or agriculture. Has GAAP and IFRS Experience.

Public accounting experience strongly preferred

Skills:

Communicate well as a multi-associate engagement team leader

A drive to learn, be challenged, and flexible in approach.

Strong GAAP background and ability to research accounting treatment

Communicate well with management and accounting staff and develop into the main client contact

Ability to direct fieldwork in different environments for multiple associates and possibly multiple locations

Ability to formulate and implement audit plans, delegate work to seniors and associates, and review senior work in higher risk areas and associate work in basic workpapers

Ability to identify and research issues, develop engagement specific and firm-wide solutions, and direct implementation

Develop specific industry expertise of applicable accounting standards and knowledge of how to adequately research issues

Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of firm procedures in specific industries
